I imagine there has to be a high of sorts for him to repeteadly engage in this behavior and consider himself unable to quit. Anti-aging effects would not surprise me if existent within the venom--stranger properties have been derived from stranger still sources, and the more exotic the source of a biochemical, the broader the range of possible peculiar/useful/rare interactions and effects they might have with and on human biochemistry and physiology.
But medical/aesthetic/anti-aging purposes aside, I bet the rush is interesting and can totally picture it being similar to stimulant rushes. There could be some psychoactive alkaloids present in the venom, but I figure that the body's reaction to the potent toxins is on its own significantly adrenaline-packed, perhaps enough to mimic a stimulant rush.
