Immigration discussion

So you're saying that because their intent is to send money somewhere else, that is the reason they work for lower wages?

Considering their money over there is worth dirt in comparison to USD, and they can undercut labor to get a guaranteed bid(or car wash job, whatever), yeah. Exactly what I’m saying lmao. Employers are complicit in this too by just hiring illegals FT and not giving benefits. It’s called labor exploitation. The main basis for which I’ve been calling in these so far successful tips

$100 goes a loooooong way outside of the USA homie

Living in a city that's 54 percent Hispanics, I am blessed to have a worker ,a partner ,she's drawing in so many clients ,she works hard as I do. She's so generous ,never have to ask for help, she's right there with more work ethics .A true team ,no gossip no competition, blows me away that her and her family, most from Guadalajara, illegals and many are not,but they stay in their country and tell me stories of life, truly better than us butter face whities
I do relationship coaching and will tell yoistright up that most foreign women are far, far superior wives than American women.

I mean, why not go join them if it sounds so great? Just food for thought

I haven’t ever met someone who was about to smuggle themselves in an avocado truck to get to Guatemala lol

im not necessarily discounting that and I believe you, but some of our more left leaning members here would have a field day with you basically just implying brown people are good for cheap labor 😂

They charge less because most of the money goes back home, bro

I get where you’re coming from trust me, but after a while it turns into a pure matter of weighing it out. Do I want cheap decks and more food trucks in exchange for the other ills from all this circus? No. No I do not

Just so you know where I am coming from, I despise the Democrats. I used to teach political economy and can tell you that food prices are the direct result of the Build Back Better Act. But unfortunately Trumps tariffs are making things worse. I don't like Trump but most of the Democrats should be in prison for what they have done to working families like mine.

I been reporting tire shops and car washes in my city with the ICE tip line here and there

They do follow up on these things eventually and they popped one 5 mins away from me lol

The pro-Hamas kid they detained the other week isn’t very bright. Showing up to some protest and having them film you while basically screaming “hey feds, come get me”. You’re here on a student visa. So study

So you're basically a snitch on a drug forum?

So they get paid less money but their cost of living is set at where ever they live in the US, and then they have even less money for living because hey send some home. And you think that's what's driving them to get paid less wages?

Not the fact that they don't have protections of minimum wage and can be exploited?

Would you like to buy a bridge? I happen to have one for sale!

It seems like you enjoy tattle-taling on those who are vulnerable, and inserting yourself into people's lives rather than minding your own business? Where I come from there is an old community wisdom that 'snitches get' something that I won't repeat but that rhymes - it suggests that there are consequences that will ultimately come to those who chose to inform on others.

You enjoy being a rat-fink then, eh?

Go ahead and report the comment - snitches get what they get.

It trickles down from the top :(

we will also require staff to agree to a volunteer agreement which includes a section on responsibilities and misconduct - and this applies beyond just Bluelight’s platforms. While we are not resourced enough to monitor everything that our staff are doing off platform, if evidence is provided related to misconduct elsewhere, we will act upon that

They're probably just making it up, but who knows. Shit's gone fkn crazy when you got citizens narcing for the corrupt government. What goes around comes around tho.

magine being a federal judge and ruling according to the law and your oath to uphold it and defend the constitution, rather than to some loyalty to the executive.

Aye, the judge's role and responsibility is to interpret the law as written. For example, recognizing if they have jurisdictionon a case before making judgements. Fingers crossed there is a judge higher up that can overrule this overreach by Boasberg. Oh, lookie here (and in the abcnews link below clearly stating the lack of jurisdiction on the case)....

But, Boasberg still wants to hold the DOJ lawyer in contempt for not turning a plane around midflight. Yeah, ok, that's truly absurd and highlights how ungrounded the judge is. If he does, that'll likely get slapped down too. Boasberg, by 'random selection' has gotten assigned the bulk of the hot Trump cases  Maybe some of the cases have legal merit, but they don't all go thru him. Once some othes are given proper venue, we'll see how it goes. In the meantime, Boasberg is hanging himself. Repeatedly.

But let's stick to the topic of the dearly deported, shall we?

Imagine thinking that the administration who deported an international student because of a speeding ticket is not corrupt and is to be trusted. The more I see the more I'm convinced 100% that Trumpers don't give a shit about the constitution or due process. Even ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS are protected by our constitution.

@nuttynutskin - you in US or another country? I'm not aware (not that it matters, just curious). I don't recall seeing ANY persons deported for a speeding ticket. That's a civil fine, not a criminal violation. If you can link to such an instance, I am certain we'll find more to their deportation than a speeding ticket.

As to ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS protected by the constitution, yes they are to a degree but not to the rights of a citizen.

The court's majority made clear, however, that migrants removed under the AEA authority must be given notice and "afforded within a reasonable time and in such a manner as will allow them to actually seek habeas relief in the proper venue before such removal occurs."

I agree with worst first like Homan said but eventually everyone let in during Biden’s floodgates needs a quick trip home next

Aye, worst first. There are many that simply should never have been allowed into the country in the first place given their criminal records in their home country. The time it will take to address those affords the law abiding on (illegal entry not withstanding) to work on proving worthy of citizenship, as well as letting the gov't fix a broken immigration system to better vet and process viable immigrants. Nobody is talking about fixing that or letting in the 'good ones' as yet. All eyes and voices, from both sides, are all about the 'bad ones' right now.

I get that many on here are concerned about innocent visa holders getting hauled off. Mistakes can, and likely will, happen. But those can always be corrected. In the meantime, how are these same voices decrying deportations seemingly perfectly at ease with the violent crimes these illegals have committed in our country, killing our citizens? How do any of you square that circle?

Where was all the concern when Biden admin was spending gov't money to fly in all these criminals?
