New York City has announced it will no longer issue vouchers to migrants to pay for food, ending a controversial program that had repeatedly come under attack by conservatives and others
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Today, Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey obtained a court order throwing out the Biden-Harris Administration’s “parole in place” (PIP) rule that would allow millions of illegal immigrants to circumvent the law and obtain permanent residency. He joined sixteen other states in the lawsuit
It will be interesting to see what happens from tomorrow, though I do think a lot of people are going to be majorly disappointed. Which in itself might be a good thing, because then we can all perhaps finally understand that the solution to our dilemma is not going come through the political process and we can then finally drop the hero worship mentality.
I really wish people would stop the comparisons or associations of Trump with Jesus or God though. Like come on, I get you're excited and everything, but this guy is a millionaire tycoon.. he's about the farthest you could possibly get from Jesus and I think God would do a better job than sending us some Cheeto coloured Jesus.
It's parallel to Nigel Farage here in the UK, or really any mainstream politician platforming for the lead role. They all talk the good talk, I mean that's why they are politicians after all. But when the rubber meets the road, they fold like a house of cards. Farage - or Tice, from the new Reform Party (home to disenfranchised conservatives) - have much to say that appeals to the right-leaning on stuff about immigration etc, but you can see right along the line that they always have one eye on what you want, and the other on the demands of the real power brokers behind the scenes. It's interesting the divisions amongst the conservatives. Some are still extremely loyal to Trump and think he is a savior. Others look at that group as brainwashed toddlers, incapable of seeing the bigger picture.
I think the latter has more momentum.
Likely anything Trump does will not be harsh enough for them.
It's never as fun having your guy in power as it is being a rebel from the outside.
A teenager has died and four people have been wounded in a knife attack in Austria.
It happened around 16:00 local time (15:00 GMT) near the main square of Villach, a southern town close to the border with Italy and Slovenia.
The victim was 14 years old and the suspect is a Syrian asylum seeker, who has been detained, AFP news agency reported citing a police official.
"A man randomly attacked passers-by with a knife," police spokesman Rainer Dionisio told AFP.
A delivery worker who drove his vehicle at the attacker helped prevent more injuries, the police spokesman told ORF, Austria's national broadcaster.
Police have not ruled out a second attacker being involved, ORF added.
The broadcaster said two of the four people injured were in a serious condition.
Any motive or link between the knifeman and five victims are not yet known, though ORF reported extremism police had been drafted in to investigate.
Governor Peter Kaiser of Carinthia - the region where Villach is located - described the attack as an "unimaginable atrocity".
More like productive people being brutally killed by overt violent racists.Sounds like reparations for apartheid, I'm guessing that the people who are "being discriminated against" are the rich white families that took part in the oppression and exploitation during apartheid. So that would include Elon Musk and his family
You're right, the rich racist population who controlled South Africa were absolutely killing the indigenous population that they exploited for their laborMore like productive people being brutally killed by overt violent racists.
You mean this Zimbabwe? The one being controlled with loan terms by the world bank and the IMF? Just like was done in Jamaica and other nations?Apparently South Africa wants to go down the same path that Zimbabwe did after they kicked out the white farmers, or they're just dumb and will realize that once they start having food shortages like Zimbabwe did
