if you quit for a long time, does weed still feel good?

Stopping weed is a trip in itself IMO. I highly reccommend you do it. Weeds not going to disappear anytime soon so you can always go back to it whenever. Plus you get to know that your powerful enough to quit weed.

While some may say "diir I went through horse addiction and thats way more intense than weed addiction weed addiction is a joke..weiner weiner weiner", KNOWING that you can stop smoking anytime is a helpful thing to have in life and you won't regret it.

What this guy said. Especially if anxiety hits you many times you get high. If you are a heavy MJ smoker, you'll probably feel depressed and worn out for some time, but that can vary from person to person. It's all in the head really, how do you cope with stopping. Getting high might gain a whole different perspective in your life, if you give your mind some time to work things out. And, as someone here said, weed will not disappear anywhere. If you get high daily and smoke a great amount of weed, I think you'll benefit with taking a break. Feeling high will remain the same or even better.

It actually feels very nice to be clean for some time. I do not consider myself a true MJ smoker, but an occasional one. Stopped my cannabis use for two months, after an active year and a half of smoking, and felt like shit for a month. I quit it immediately, with no lesser use of joints during my break. It might not be the way to go about things, but this way is at least effective. You need to prove yourself that you can stop any time you want.

Keep yourself occupied with some hobbies and other things (like music, painting, fishing, anthing that gets you up). You see, mind is a very complex thing in itself. The more you will think about smoking and your break, the more weird you'll feel. The lesser you think about the whole thing, the better. If you manage to cope with your use during your break, you're good. Ask yourself what a break will really mean to you.

Oh, and keep in mind that cannabis use *might* slightly increase after your break, but that's totally up to you.

Hope I shed a light. :)

In my experience, a long break is a good way to start really enjoying it again. I did the smoke all day every day thing for years, and ended up just needing a break. Its a way better high when you stop for a few months, then only smoke once or twice a week.

I stopped smoking in the late 70s. I took early retirement and took up smoking the herb again. It's great to retire. Then you can smoke all day everyday. I like to start my day by burning a bowl and watching the sunrise. It's great to be getting high again after a 30 year break.
