What states will she be able to take?

I contend that she'd take the deep south LA, GA, SC, MS, AL.

The entire bible belt would be hers without a doubt - IA, OK, TX, NE, KS, KY, TN, FL, UT, WY, ID, NC, WV, VA, ND, SD, MO, and AR. I know not all the states listed here are in the bible belt, like UT, WY, ID, etc - but she'd still win those.

She would contend well in the rust belt - I think she'd do real well in OH but not win, I think she can take IN, she'll lose MI and IL.

She'll lose CA, OR, and WA. She'd also lose PA, NY, and all of New England.

But that's it. If you calculate that, she wins the nomination.

She's an idiot. Most people know this. They just enjoy watching rhetoric. She's not a serious contender. Just like she wasn't when McCain chose her as wing. Obama will win again.

What on Earth makes you think she would win all those states? Just because she's a mega-celebrity doesn't mean she has alot of political support.

I bet she would struggle to take Alaska.

+1, why on earth does she win GA and LA? or any other Southern State?

eta: maybe because those states are overwhelmingly jewish, and sarah palin is a jew too?

Well, Republican states would vote Republican; no surprise, there. Not many of them, though; Palin's mainstream GOP support is lukewarm at best, and whatever cachet she held onto after 2008 she deep-sixed by quitting her office in favor of the talk-show circuit. If she makes it to the Republican convention, expect a thorough dressing-down; a candidacy is not going to happen.

As a historical note, it's worth mentioning that only one losing VP candidate in history later went on to win office in their own name: FDR.

She'd prolly get hit by a car.

Oh wait, you were talking about the presidential race? What a joker.

Not enough to win. She's an idiot and a quitter.

There's no way Palin could beat Obama... at least not without a video of Obama fucking a horse or something.

Obama is no better. He's a clown himself.

I'm a democrat, but I'm a Hillary Clinton democrat. Yes, I still hold a grudge - they stole the god damn nomination and thus the presidency from her. All for what? An uppity Kenyan with a middle name "Hussein". Let's elect someone named Osama next time while were at it. He had no experience whatsoever. He was a freakin' half term senator - that's all he had on his resume. Oh oh and he was "community organizer" before that. What freaking joke. Hillary Clinton had over 35 years of experience in the public eye - as an established lawyer in the Rose Law firm, first lady of Arkansas, First Lady of the US, and several term Senator from NY. She had what it takes, she new Washington DC inside out and she new how to navigate the powers because she lived in the White House for 8 years (hell, it was a co-presidency as she had a lot of influence on her husbands decision making). But instead we (well, not me) elected a joke to the most powerful office on earth. The only person doing any good in his Cabinet is his Secretary of State and the CIA director (who is a Clinton loyalist, himself).

^ That's not what I meant. I meant that he was someone who had no experience and was very presumptuous and was going beyond his level. He had not paid his dues and was not ready for the presidency, but he was so arrogant and pompous - he decided to jump into the race and run. He clearly was not ready.

All solid points against Obamas policies.... NOT

I dont get why people want a person that has had a lifetime of Washington indoctrination to be president, where is the logic in that?

If we ever do get a truely progressive president it will be someone who hasn't spent their career pandering to the needs of special interests to stay elected in Washington.

Oh and what? Obama doesn't pander to the needs of special interests? He is nothing but a thuggish Chicago politician. Hillary Clinton at least would've known what she was doing while in office. Obama seems clueless. She wouldn't have been an embarrassing president at least (ie. the recent visit to the UK, the bowing to the Chinese president, etc etc). Hillary Clinton would've been a tough president, she woud've been our own America's Iron Lady.

LOL. No... Obama was a state senator from 1997-2004, a U.S. senator from 2005-2008, a Juris Doctorate magna cum laude from Harvard Law, a professor for U. of Chicago Law, and a civil rights attorney. I think that he is VERY aware of what he is doing, on many different levels. He is a very cunning and calculating man, who knows exactly how much political capital he has at any given moment. To be honest, I find it quite humorous that you wrote that paragraph, because it basically describes how you have jumped into the CE&P discussion with your half-baked bumper-sticker-slogan level of rhetoric, and your infantile propositions. Rest on your mod-laurels much? ;)

Like Apostacious said, Obama has more experience as a legislator than Hilary does. Hardly a "half term senator". Your critiques are shallow and unfounded.

I found this part especially entertaining:

(hell, it was a co-presidency as she had a lot of influence on her husbands decision making).

Lets recall some of the decisions Billy made in the oval office ;)

Yawn..

He still wasn't more qualified for the position than Hillary Clinton was. I regret that this man ever became POTUS.

Bardo5, no he does not have more experience as a legislator then Hillary did. Hillary was a US Senator from 2000-2009 - that's 9 years. He was a half term US Senator and a state senator for 7 years. She has a year on him, plus her time in the White House as First Lady - she was the most empowered First Lady in the history of the United States.

But Hillary will be POTUS one day - in 2016. Obama will lose re-election, by 2016 people will be sick of the GOP. She runs and wins - now with SoS in her resume (she would be unbeatable). The only other female in the US qualified to be POTUS is Condi Rice. Only her and Hillary.

Obama basically told everyone what they wanted to hear in his 2008 campaign and has failed on most fronts as far as trying to reform the federal government. There are many many decisions that Obama makes that I totally disagree with.

But the reality is that in our shitty election system the voter really has only 3 choices.
A)Republican
B)Democrat
C)Throw away your vote

So I vote democrat for the president because I know I would rather have the lesser of the two evils to have the white house. But in reality both the democratic and republican party are both funded primarily by corporations that benefit greatly from influencing the decisions made by lawmakers, and make campaign contributions accordingly.

Thats not to say I don't agree with some things he has done as well. Health care reform is important but it was basically watered down to the point of it now being a giveaway to the companies it was trying to regulate by congress. The media didn't even give any coverage to the people that supported a single payer public option like they have in countries where government healthcare works and works well.

Thats why I say that a truly progressive president will not come from either party. The only way that will happen is if enough Americans wake up and start electing people with their best interests in mind, instead of the candidate with the most money that can pay for the most commercials. Until then we'll have our current government which is to a large extent regulated and run by business.

LOL... in other words:

^ That's not what I meant.

That isn't what you meant? I strongly suggest you investigate the historical uses of the word "uppity" used in reference to black people.

Your entire post is just dripping with racist bitterness. Trying to qualify it with "I'm a democrat" doesn't help in the least. I know plenty of democrats who are just as afraid of black people as you seem to be. In fact, you remind me a lot of my 80 year old good ol' boy grandfather.
