what haircut would i need?

right now i have *very* slight and outgrown layers.
hair probably an inch longer than that model's except for some strands at the front who are about shoulder-length

I'm beginning to firm an image of how you looked and how you're looking now and I'm not sure if you would like to know.
Maybe I will feed my description of your younger and older image to some good AI image generator and post the results :hehe:

Too much hard living and personal tragedies, stress, along with time( I am older now) take a toll on a person's looks, but I remember being young, good looking and then things start to really take there toll on me, but now it is the middle aged divorcee's that seem interested, ugh

But seriously, are there no stylists here who could help me?
I cut my own hair and need to know what how-to to google for.

Don't tell!

You're a divorcee?
That's a surprise.
No, I mean now, only the middle aged divorcees are checking me out, sometimes, I don't go out much, I like to relax and have the comforts and 'protection' of being home.

Never married, afraid of commitment but now, I am glad that I don't have kids. The girls I liked usually wanted a somewhat well mannered guy, who was not a run of the mill type, boy next door. A guy who was somewhat rebellious, but who could be a gentleman, when I had to be. Someone smart, funny, better than average looking, and with a mischievous side.

As long as I wasn't out being a troublesome drunk, which was a little too often.

I have super long hair, like down to my waist and I cut my own too. I only trim it once in a while so I don’t know how to do that haircut.

Maybe if you take that picture to someone that does hair they can do it for you. You got to trust the person doing it though. Either way it’s cute

Ah, like way back in the later 70's, when so many younger women( before I was even close to old enough to remember, or notice or care) they all wanted ' The Farrah Fawcett haircut' from that famous( at the time) poster.

I do ( no pun intended) remember hearing/reading, about a lot of women wanting 'The Jennifer Aniston haircut' back when, The TV show, Friends, got popular.

pretty sure i remember a pic of the OP and she's a brunette with straight hair.. i dunno, looks like she might've just combed her hair after getting it wet and then lightly dried it with a towel.. probably a better way to get that look though.

i'm a male with a beatles type hair cut, and i used to towel dry my hair instead of combing it to have a shaggy messy poofier look.. kind of would get that puffy like the pic posted sometimes, but it would get tangled too towel drying, which is not what you are going for.. that's why i thought maybe they combed it first then maybe lightly puffed it up with a towel, then maybe a little hair spray.. i don't really know. just messing around posting saying i thought about what you are posting... i bet a hair dresser would like to help you. lol.

i have no clue. that's why i'm asking.
I noticed something besides um um, her necklaces, yeah thats what I checking out. Lol. Anyways there are people in the background and more than likely a professional hairstylist or two, who would have more that likely would have, used, a comb, a brush, hairspray, a blow dryer and some time and effort to get the models hair just right.

Reproducing that exact look is probably going to be difficult and time consuming; unless you are really good at styling your own hair. If you are then ok; if not than you are probably going to be disappointed because sometimes it takes effort to look like you are mildly disheveled.

i hate this look because it means reeking of hairspray and having hair that's gross to touch.

i was so relieved when women stopped doing it because it really is THAT repulsive.
