Our view on prohibition is to look at it historically. Alcohol was prohibited because the US govt couldn't regulate it=tax it. Once they developed regulations, it was widely available. the same with tobacco. You can buy tobacco anywhere, but it is illegal to grow your own and sell it...because the govt can't tax it. the same with alcohol...you can brew your own...but you can't sell it. as many people might know E was available to buy over the counter with a credit card up until the late 80's. once the government saw the rise in sales and popularity, well the rest is history....it is really to live in hope to ever think that E will ever be legalised..oh wouldn't it be lovely...as many of us know the problem is not the drug but the abuse of the drug by people.everything in moderation! education is the key...!in our book the American government has made too many decisions for too many individuals..just think if the production of E was ever regulated there would be a higher and safer grade available for all to enjoy..,,..together as 1.!!!

I find it interesting that ecstacy was banned because the FDA was scared it would create thousands of addicts, like crack did. When crack first hit the US shores, the FDA kind of ignored it for a while, until its use sky-rocketed and it blew up in their face. With 'e' a Texas senator saw that it was being sold in bars, and despite a lack of evidence that there is anything inherintly wrong with ecstacy, he petitioned the FDA to ban it, and they did. It was all just a bunch of politics, a way of saying to Americans, look we know what is going on in the drug world, we are ahead of the game, we have gotten better. It just pisses me off that ecstacy has never been given any clinical trials anywhere to determine its short and long term effects and hence if it should be made legal.
