I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, but I think my boss and her husband are addicted to meth and I'm not sure what to do about it.
To start off with, I work at a privately owned coffee shop where the owner (and her husband) are very much involved in the business. I have worked there for 4 years and have gotten to know my boss very well in that time. We also live in a town where meth addiction is a serious problem.
I have known multiple people with meth addictions, and she and her husband are showing a lot of the warning signs. Paranoia, weight loss, agression, etc. In the past year of working there she has lost 50 pounds and has severe picking marks on her face (as does her husband) her work has been significantly affected, and she will stay there for 18+ his at a time with only a couple of hours of sleep. I honestly barely recognize her anymore.
I'm very worried about her, and the business, and I really want to help in some way. The problem is, about 10 people came to this same conclusion a few months ago, and all of them were asked to quit or got fired for bad mouthing the boss. I can't afford to lose my job, or cause any problems at work, but I need to do something.
Is there any way I can anonymously do something? I don't have any solid proof other than what I and my co-workers have witnessed. Is there something a rehab could do without her willing participation? It has gotten so bad, I would be willing to contact the authorities if need be, but I'm not even sure what they could do.
