I need an outpatient drug rehab program. I have been clean for almost a week on suboxone and I don't think I will be ever using again, but I need to get on a drug program for myself and for a court case coming up.

I am having a very hard time finding a rehab between the many options, the varying costs (one place was like $5k, one was like $70 a meeting, and I have no fucking clue what it should cost), and proper needs. I want a 'certified' rehab, or just one that is legit.

Also, a few places have been like "okay we can evaluate you in 2 weeks and get you in like 2 months from now". Um, no, like I need to be in this program YESTERDAY!

Basically, my question is what can I expect outpatient rehab to cost (i dont have insurance, but I have money) and what do I need to look for in a qualified, proper rehab.

Thanks.

PS I'm looking for a place between Richmond and Fredericksburg VA - southern NoVA and northern central va.

I'm just having a fuckall impossible time trying to find a place... doesn't help i decided to get clean a week before court but whatever. It's not juts for the case, its for myself as well.

Also, how do I find a proper suboxone doctor? There are lots to choose from it seems.

Well, I see the suboxone doctor stuff and that's fine, should be fine on that.

But I still can't find an appropriate outpatient rehab, and I don't even know what to look for in a rehab (regarding certification and whatnot) and what prices are.

you could try contacting a social worker in your area, they might set you up in detox, and help you find local resources, and maybe do a little foot work for you while you are in detox, or after you complete that step.

most inpatient facilities charge around a thousand a day, out patient varies greatly, any where from, 750 to 2500 a month. these numbers are, ;) educated guess's. not only does this depend on the facilities and what they generally offer, but the"level" or intensity of treatment they feel is necessary. if you happen to live near an open native reservation, they may offer a service for 'us' as well, and be considerably less $$$.

where ever you go, take a look at their program, you will get out what you put in any where, but, i know you are a smart guy who may become frustrated and bored, hearing mostly things you have heard said and thought already, or get sick the second day reading middle school level material, but again you will get out what you put in, i cant do aa, but group counseling is usually always pretty intense, and priceless when some one says what you've been waiting to. at instances like that, its perfect, because you know what each other needs to hear, maybe dont say it to them say it to yourself.

once you get to an auto response with that way of thinking, you start soiling the fun of that most often lethal, "oh its been three months!!!?" over zealous shot.

its truly fucked that the easiest way to gain access to a reasonable rate/payment plan, is through the courts.

I have found that the courts do not recognize rehab outfits that are not in their system .
If i were in your shoes it would cause me to contact the court clerk and get directed to the rehab/treatment joints that they recognize .

courts mandate ppl to attend group misery sessions in county approved businesses .
with this in mind, i would imagine that they only recognize certain rehab rackets .

Well court is next week (I know, very late, but what can I say I was addicted till recently and arrest is never enough to get you clean) so this rehab is partly for myself, and partly to show to courts that I really don't need to be in jail and want this off my record.

I hope the court doesn't notice it took forever for me to get into a program though.

I'm meeting tommorow with a service board (of a city different from the arrest, a city where I live, since I got charged somewhere not local) to hopefully get into a rehab, and immediately afterwards im scheduled to meet with an outpatient rehab.

Maybe the court will mandate a rehab during sentencing but for now I want to prove I dont need to be jailed. or should i still go to a court mandated rehab, even though they will see i am not from there?

oh i didn't realize you had a case; if its a misdemeanor offense you should have the option of deferred prosecution. if so, you most likely wont serve any time, and treatment will be mandated, along with so many aa meetings in a certain amount of time-90 meetings in 90 days.

try doing some community service and finding a" home group" for aa\na

i'm going to look into some things to better answer your questions about rehabilitation facilities and such, but just wanted to throw this out there-

why don't you just start any old outpatient for the time being just to show the court system that you had the drive and desire to do it for yourself. then after everything is sorted out in court, spend the time to find/get in to a facility that is actually what you're looking for and suits your needs? at least you won't lose any more time before your court date searching, and it will prove to the judge/system that you didn't have to be "forced" to get clean, but rather that you actually want to, and you have the motivation, not just because you have to. if your court date is only a week away, you should get into something now. if you start the day before your case, it isn't going to look as good.

if you don't want to do that, then i would also suggest going to a few NA meetings (or the like) and taking advantage of their sign in/report process. they will confirm that you were at the meetings, which could prove to be valuable documentation for your court case. once again, it will show that you were taking productive action by choice and without it being mandatory. if the court sees that you are taking these matters in to your own hands and taking necessary steps toward getting clean and bettering yourself, it will definitely play to your advantage.

another suggestion i will add- go to a local clinic and have yourself drug screened (even if you only do it one day, or if you want- multiple days before your court date). the results of your screen can also be reported/sent to your lawyer/the court by your request, once again playing in your favor. again, this will show that you are being proactive and that you are willing to make life changes without force or due to a threatened sentencing. just a couple ideas i had while reading through your post which could potentially help you.

so, with that said, i'm now going to do some searching around and see what more appropriate and actually helpful information i can find for you in terms of facility qualifications and such. :)

hope this helped if even only a teeeeeny bit & good luck to you next week. also, big congrats on getting clean. are you planning to kick the suboxone soon as well, or are you going to use it for maintenance? just curious.
