I Need Ideas for Kief Removal

I have a Magic Bullet that my mom gave me when I was like 16. I have never used it for anything but grinding the dankest heady nugs. I am now 20. The thing is a far cry from its original state of transparent plastic. It has kief caked up all over it. It smells like fucking heaven I tell you. There has GOT to be a way I can harvest the kief that is stuck to this thing. If there is one thing pot smokers are known for, it is amazing skill in the jimmy-rig school of ingenuity. Toothbrush didn't work, it just got kief all over the tooth brush. I thought it may loosen up the stuck crystals. Do I have to use alcohol? I was thinking of fashioning a mini squeegee and then lighty mist the inside of it with alcohol, leave it for like a half hour and then squeegee the ish out of it. But then, how would I remove such a small amount of alcohol slowly from the finished product? Any better ideas?
 
You can just put it in iso for a bit and let it evaporate. I think the iso absorbs it in like a few seconds but I'm not sure. Use a thin object like a paper clip or an x-acto knife to scrape it out.

Btw you don't want to remove the alcohol! That contains all the goodies, you have to let it evaporate off.
 
^^^ Buy any iso alcohol rub otc, higher % you can find. Run it through your grinder, shake if u want, but i should get it all off there. Let it sit in a flat surface and evaporate (should only take a few hours, it does it fast), then scrap it all up with a razor for some nice hash. I actually just did this with my grinder this weekend. There is a thread about this exact same thing a few threads down:

my grider is wooden so when keif builds up in it I just scape it off with a knife and throw it on a bowl.
 
^^ just wanted to add to what the 1st two cats said

they pretty much got it all taken care of but i didnt see either on of them mention to strain the golden iso liquid from the grinder.

use coffee filters, preferably unbleached but the white ones will do in a pinch. this way you have some good shiney iso oil instead of some wierd lookin hash.

if you dont strain it, it will still get you high n all, it is just a better product if strained
 
Iso is the way to go, but if you're lazy, sticking it in the freezer for a bit will help to get some of it out.
 
i always found a toothbrush more effective the more there was? also, only so much of it can really get stuck on the toothbrush, as long as you go gently it only gets stuck right on the tip of the brush, and after youre done you can usually get most of that off as well... or you can just suck the toothbrush. i must admit ive never dissolved it before, i usually just sprinkle it over the tobacco in my cigarettes and it works a treat. or to top off a bowl. mmmmmm. plus its instant gratification. no offense, but even just a couple of hours to me when it comes to this stuff is too long a wait :D
 
it dissolves in your sweat and sticks to your fingers in a badass way though :(

Getting the left over keif from something like this seems impossible. Its hard to scrape up around all the infinite pegs.

So, I pour some alcohol in both pieces...let it sit...dump over a coffee filter and let it evaporate? Thats the play?

(btw Im aware its a POS grinder)
