I wasn't sure what section to post this in, but I figured it kinda related to healthy living. Okay here's my thing, this good friend of mine who I was really close with and was kinda my guru into the spirtual world has moved back to my city. I haven't seen him in several years, I am nervous about hanging out with him b/c I am really anti-social and things are just different. I only hang out with really one friend now, and he's not even a true friend. I want to break the cycle and hang out with this guy, he's just a very interesting guy, makes me nervous b/c he sees through all my petty bullshit and always has a way of making me go into the abyss. Should I hang out with him and overcome my fears or should I just stay away? He invited me to see Paul Van Dyk next month, someone we saw on one of my fave b-days, what do you guys think?

I would do it because the only way to get over social anxiety is to do things that make you socially anxious. I mean you're not giving us much to go on but all else being equal, assuming he really is just a spiritual person and not a creepy guru/cult-leader type (lots of those in the psychedelic community), I would go for it.

Hang out with him! If you guys are old friends than it might be a little awkward at first but you'll click. If he's an old friend and you have some history, try bringing up those stories. Be like, " Do you remember blah blah blah." It's a great way to break the ice with old friends.

DO IT!!l The hardest part for me is actually making the decision and actually going to hang out with people. I rarely regret it when I do though. And plusssss...it's Paul Van Dyk! If shit gets awkward, just enjoy the music. :) <3

He's already got the ticket and the VIP, should I purchase? I really want to see this dude, but see he's gonna be with his wife and another couple so I'm gonna look like the 6th wheel or something, not sure which wheel that would be, lol. I'm scared :(
