Why am I a crackhead and posting two hours after the party is over?
Many ups and downs over the course of the night. Music got my attention in the beginning of the night (Irene) and kind of crapped out. I'll go into details later, but the jungle room was hot a great portion of the night and things picked back up downstairs. Aside from having an awesome conversation with Charles Feelgood and Green Velvet blowing me away, I did happen to meet a bluelighter. Yes, one (1) bluelighter ;) .
NCTexan you're an awesome guy. I don't know anyone that could pull of your gear the way you did. And as always, look on the bright side--you lived and your car didn't get fucked up. :)

this is long & erik thanx & hope to see u again.....now who is the real crackhead
hmmmm....where do i start? welp...first of all, by saying that new jersey sucks ass....well at least the fuckin turnpike. espcially when there is 6 inches of snow on it and you have a visibility of about 15 feet infront of you. i just got back to where im staying in jersey about 2.5 hrs ago (12:30 pm---wtf am i still doing up???) which is about 45 mins from manhattan w/ out shit on the road. my boy and i experienced the nyc subway for the first time in our lives while going to an afterparty at "vinyl" , which had a $30 cover charge starting at 4:45 a.m. going to ???. so once being frisked we promptly and courtiesly pronounced to the cashier "fuck that shit" and exited back into the nut freezing cold. we then proceded to get lost driving in southern manhattan (after going the wrong way on the subway for about 30 mintues which ended up taking about 2 hrs time) and ended up paying about 3 times what we should have paid in toll fees. i learned of a renegade but the location yielded nothing but an empty for lease business flat & a few kidz searchin for the same thing about 2 block away. i wont go into my navigation troubles w/ the turnpike after leaving ny which unded up taking about 4 hrs......ummm yeah dont ask. moving on--- i am/was so freakin pissed. Due to shit ass weather conditions (see above), i missed ralph, irene, and x-dream, which were the dj's that i really only cared about seeing-- (i luckily did hear green velvet and saw ed rush the night b4 @ buzz) --WHY THE FUCK WERE THEIR SETS SO EARLY?? upon first getting to the party and checking my coat i met a bluelighter, (my dumbass forgot her screen name but she goes by chi chi) at around 1 a.m, due to the fact that i heard her talking about a bluelight meetup. so we went downstairs ( i busted out my map which i printed off of the thread) and we went to the prescribed meetup location. Well we waited about 10 minutes and saw nobody...until i heard a voice yell out BLUELIGHT!!! I was like fuck yeah and scurried up to this chill looking fellow who introduced himself as gmni13 & we conversed for a few.
my gripes besides the formentioned: fuck a venue where the mens restroom, coat check, and d&b room are on the 6th floor and there is only 1 elevator, and water is 4 bones.
pros: i met a few pimp bluelighters, i experienced ny for the 1st time (in a slightly demented fashion), & im alive
so yeah im gonna go pass the fuck out for about 2 days....TTyallL

^Oddly enough, I was at the 11 o'clock meetup until 20 after. The entire space was EMPTY besides me sitting on the wall. Things that make you go, "hmmmm."

OK so heres my take on IHAD4. GREAT GREAT party!!. Me & my friends agreed that this party was one of the best so far this year. Things started off bad for us but got great once we got into the party. First we had to drive through that blinding snow on the Jersey Turnpike. It was one of the worst trips I've ever taken up to NY. Took us 4hrs. instead of the normal 3hrs. So anyways after that we had no problems getting to the Hammerstein. We parked in this $20 garage which was pretty cheap I guess compared to all the other garages. So then we walked from 31st to the ballroom. At 9pm the line was long outside, but wasn't bad, it was only standing out there in that windy cold was bad. Anyways we got in there at 9:30. So I missed dj Irene's set, but Feelgood was spinning so that got our energy started. Sercurity in there was no joke. They were in there thick, talking about zero tolerance, but thats kewl cause then they could weed out all the bums & bulshit. So the party was great. Good vibes, good music, dancing battles were all good. ALLOT OF HOTTIES!! Met allot of people, exchanged emails and all. Green Velvet, dj Storm (sexy), Craze, Reid Speed were anongst my favorites. There were times I didn't know who was spinning, but regardless I was loving almost all the djs sets. So I was at the meetup @ 11pm standing & partying with Speekah Phreekah. And he introduced me to Freddie d. I did however go back to the last meetup time but saw noone else, so I went about my partying business. Didn't leave the party til the the very end. Til the last record had spun, literally!! And towards the end of the night I did see Kart again, another bler. So after the party me & friends gots something to eat right nextdoor at some restaurant by the Hammerstein. That place was packed with partykids. It was crazy in that restaurant. Everyone started making these crazy beats with the spoons & knives, and plates, so I got up and started dancing again in the restaurant. People were hollering & cheering. It was so crazy and then other people got up and started dancing & some were rhyming. It got crazy in there. You could tell that the party was still going on. So anyways a GREAT party. Me personally I've not ever had a bad experience going to a Stuck on Earth party, (everything from previous IHAD, Boo, Joy, etc. parties) so my luck continues at their parties, so again personally more power to Stuck on Earth.
shoutouts: Speekah Phreekah, Freedie d, Kart, lets do it again!!
sorry I didn't meet other blers, anyways theres more parties so we'll proberly be meeting soon
only negative for that night for me personally was loosing my freakin camera which had some great pics of the night.
and Teddy sorry didn't make it to the afterparty. I had promised you and allot of other people that I would go after we eat at that restaurant, but then we all decided to call it a night, go home and smoke and relax. So a VERY good night. DONE!!

nooo! snow all over rt 80 to nyc was blocking us from getting there god damn it!!!

I must say that I was very surprised at how smoothly things went for a SOE party. I guess it could be me too... Having attended many parties, I know to expect the unexpected. So nothing came as a suprise to me (except the strippers during Housecat's set....more on this later) So this was definitely a good party. I must say, Security was ON POINT!!! I felt very safe. Some were very friendly and polite. (I talked to one for about 20 minutes waiting for the elevator to the 7th floor.....)
Da Setz:
Irene? Lots and lots of Trainwrecking and her beatmatching was totaly off at times. I swear to God she looked like she was rollin' or something....
Feelgood's set reminded me of someone else filling in for a very good DJ that didn't show up. His track selection seemed to be missing the "funkyness" I'm used to hearing when he spins...
Notable mention:
Dinesh If you're into some funky slammin' UK 2step and Speed Garage (like me) then this is your man! Seemed like all the really good dancers came to this room to hear this guy. This is my new favorite 2step dj. (sorry Reid Speed)....
Green Velvet Honestly, I just wanted to hear the "LA LA LA" song. I wish he couldv'e done the "Nitrous Oxide" song too....
Hippe and Hallo This was my first time hearing these guys. They rocked.
Amazing track selection, moderate tempo= pure dancing pleasure....
Set of the night:
Felix Da Housecat All I could say is WOW!! This guy totally blew my mind. This guy is pure funk defined. At times, I had to stop dancing and hold my head because the sounds were just SO funky... and then.. the very hot and totally fuckable strippers!! Absolutly Perfect complement to a perfect set.
I would've written something about the DnB room... I went up there once and it seemed that the vibe was just all wrong. (maybe everyone was upset after walking up all those stairs? lol) Sux I missed Ed Rush and Optical. How'd they do? How was Frankie Bones' Jungle set?
Over all, I had a blast at this party! Met lots of very cool people, met up with a lot of people I hadn't seen in years, danced with a lot of good dancers (the battleing game is gettin' lame), got lots of email addresses, IMs, phone #s. The long Island Iced teas, Kamikaze's, and Cosmopolitans from the bar on the left (near where the meetups where supposed to be) were awesome...
I was at the first meetup at 11:00 with Sugafist and K:cid (who has very little patience lol) for about 30 mins. I saw no one else but Freddie D. I missed the one at 1:00... but went to the one at 3:00. Again, nobody. Oh well...
Shout outz:
Freddie D I'm glad I stayed off the second balcony...no way was I fuckin' with security this night. lol
Kart I swear, it's always a good party when your there...
Sugafist Yeah man, let's do it again! (did you hook up with that cute chick?)
Tech Kinetics Good seeing ya, man! Your mad chill.
ProvJungleKid Good seeing ya as always...(and what times where the meetups again?!....LOL)
Afterward, me and my crew heeded the voice of some very "in the know" NYC partykidz and headed down to Vinyl to hear Infected Mushroom. My first time hearing them but OMG, they were AWESOME!!! This was also my first Goa party I've ever gone to. The vibe there was SO incredible. It was a really culturally diverse crowd but EVERYONE was extremely friendly. So in totality my NYC party experience was awesome. I'm gonna have lots of good memories....

I just wanted to know if anyone actually hit up the "after party"... bwahaha, if so, lemme know what went down :) i heard some interesting rumblings about what was intended for those kids, direct from source... i'm curious to see what happened.

^ ^ ^ ^ ^
Hmmmmm...
I also would like to know how that party was. Everyone was buzzing about that afterparty on the way out of the Hammerstein. As soon as I got the flyer (which had "FAO Schwartz at 8am" for a Map point), my internal sketch-ometer went off. The warnings I got from some very cool kidz only confirmed what I already felt was gonna be a bad idea.
Hopefully, for anyone that went, it was great.
I may have paid $30 to see Infected Mushroom, but it was worth every penny. I had a great time.
-Teddy

A'ight...lemme continue...
Why did Irene spin at 9? I dunno. I wasn't too impressed so I suppose it doesn't matter. Her track selection was mediocre at best. I felt like she totally sold out. I enjoyed the tracks months ago, so hearing it that night felt a little stale.
After her set, our group took the elevator up to the jungle room to witness another stale scene. Very few people looked as if they were enjoying themselves and hardly anyone danced. Things had a turn for the better, however, and I witnessed a hot set by Storm. Too bad there were no lineups, because I truly wanted to see Ed Rush and Optical as well as Reid Speed. Actually, I was curious to see how Frankie Bones fared. Anyone there for his set?
The majority of the night was spent in the Hammerstein Ballroom hoping the music would get better. I was dissapointed in Feelgood's set. This was not the same Feelgood I witnessed at Limelight for Joy. It's true...his track selection sucked. My love for him did not die and I pulled through his set and danced, irregardless. Afterwards I was fortunate enough to meet him by the bar and got to bullshit for a few minutes. I must have been grinning from ear to ear just to have that opportunity. Goddamn...he just has the most positive energy. I felt like his best friend by the way we spoke. ::sigh::
Dave Ralph's set was another dissapointment. Maybe it's my fault. Maybe I was expecting too much. I was hoping for much more danceable beats. Oh well. Did anyone see X-Dream's set? I wasn't impressed with Felix da Housecat's set either. I didn't find it appealing. I was not driven to dance. Sux for me, I guess.
I came back from another trip to the jungle room to be blown away by Green Velvet. The bass was throbbing through my body and I was loving every second of it.
I found a new appreciation for the security at venues now. I was very happy, despite the sketchy looks I got as I was reaching for a piece of gum. I felt safe. I didn't see sketchy dealers; well, not many. Good deal.
So, yeah. I had a good time. It really was about the music.
~Erik

i witnessed feelgood at clockwork in columbus ohio last night. we chated for a minute at the bar, and he said how much fun and hugh that party was.

So anyways a GREAT party
yo dude i was on there too, party of the Philly crew.... Had a paul frank red hat and a blue vest and tye dye UFO's. HEHE that was some fun shit. Oh the meeting point was bullshit no one ever came, i only waited about 10 mins and just screwed it.
chichi

theres that girl again "jerzeezfinest" you hottie you!! :) Never met you, well not yet, but you're still a hottie!!
Speekah Phreekah YEP, YEP me and that sexy Jen are now buddy-buddy, couple-couple. Theres something so special about partygirls. (uummmhhmmmm) ;)
And I'm so pissed I missed Felix the Housecat's set and the go-go dancers. I sweat all Chicago djs & their bootyhouse music.
gmni13 about Frankie Bones DnB set it was very mediocore, but definitely not a bad attempt to flow into another style of music, so much respects to him still. I caught the last half hour of it before dj Storm came on. And Green Velvet was definitely my favorite for that night too. DAMN good set and a good party once again!!

chiara you were in that restaurant too?? Word!! So you saw how crazy it got in there!! Some fun shit!! So you also saw that dood with the blue mohawk and also the partykids that ran out on their bill too. Crazy stuff!!
Well once you entered into the restaurant and you were waiting to get seated, me & my peoples were 3 or 4 tables on the left against the window. Anyways I was the dood that started by dancing in the aisle (wearing white caffeine pants and a black sweatshirt with the word "INFAMOUS" written on it) Sorry you missed the meetup, definitely next time for sure!!

I had a blast at this party. Unfortunately I did not go to any of the meetups and it sucks cause I made it a huge point to go and everytime there was a meetup it slipped my mind and it was too late to go. Speekah knows what I'm talkin about...hahaha
I was in the DnB room almost all the night and only trekked downstairs too look for heads. Even with the elevator it was a long journey.
Ed Rush and Optical were fuckin amazing. I was surprised to because everyone always told me that Optical sucks live. I guess this party was an exception.
Danny didn't show or something so Odi spun alongside Carze for what I consider the best set of the night. TC Izlam (my favorite MC of all time) spat for them and I couldn't stop dancing. Blew my mind.
Storm was someone I was excited about seeing cause I hadn't seen her and she exceeded my expectations. She as well was fuckin awesome
Frankie Bones should stick to techno cause he spun one of the worst sets I've seen in a long time. I thought he wouldn't be that bad but boy was I wrong.
HAHA so yes I too was told ahead of time about the little FAO afterparty. I was even asked to hand out the lil flyers but I'm not that shady...most of the time anyways, haha. I have yet to hear what went down but I'll prolly know by later tonight cause I'll see all those cats at Konkrete. I'll be sure to post about what happened in the end.
Awesome party. Only complaint is that while the venue is off the hook and an amazing site...its way too big and hard to find ya crew

Hi all,
For those of you who are curious about the DJ times in the main room, I was told that they weren't sure who was going to make it because of the weather, so I think they were just putting on whoever was there at the time.
Anyway, I was there from about 6:30 (when it was me and about 30 other people there) until the end, and enjoyed myself almost the whole time. The only sets I didn't really get into were Rob Gee and Green Velvet, something about live acts that I guess I don't like.
I met two new BL'ers, ProvJungleKid and the other I don't remember the name of (he was with PartEkidRepsAcosta). Nice to meet you. And it was good seeing everyone else, Freddie, Speekah, PartEKidRepsAcosta, and Sugafist.

If there was one word to explain this party it would be ODD. Don't get me wrong, the party was dope, I loved it, but there wer just a few things that annoyed me. I missed Ed Rush and Optical, due to the fact that my stupid ass lost track of time cause I unwillingly got too fucked up.
Kart, I remember talking to you with my friend Pat, your the man, your at every party I go to, so mad respect to ya. At that point when we talked I'm ashamed at how retarted I was.
I love the venue, I'll party there till I die. I would write more but a lot of the memories from the party are too long to write about. DJ Craze and ODI are fucking gods, and for some reason I knew that ODI would spin by the end of the night.
Overall, I was happy with the outcome of the party, It was definetly an ODD experience, the train, the subway, walking through NYC, the snow, and the party. Boo 6 is gonna be crazy, peace
