Opioids Hydrocodone reverse tolerance??

I am a long term pain patient. For 6 years I have taken 4 10/325 Hydrocodone daily for lumbar l4-S1 spondy.
I had a spinal fusion 17 months ago (did not go well, I am officially disabled).

All of a sudden instead of trying to get off on my 4 pills a day as usual, my body cannot tolerate the drug anymore.
I can take one pill, if I take another half I am knocked out all day. My tolerance seems to have reversed. Scary/

My primary Doc did blood, urine and an ultrasound and everything came back normal except slight fatty liver.
I have no clue what is happening, and my pain isn't being controlled anymore since I dropped down so many
milligrams."

The only connection I can think of is this: I was constipated (or blocked for almost all of 2025). I then
started eating prunes. Boom! I took 7 huge bowel movements over the course of 2 weeks and the
blockage appears to be gone.

That was 7 weeks ago, and I still am getting knocked out on the tiniest amount of Hydros.

I figured my liver or kidney was damaged, but the results say nope.

Any ideas why a drug I am so familiar with is suddenly turning against me? TIA!

Look in to fatty liver disease.
My mom died from it.
They act like it’s nothing but it is.
That’s why you are getting so drowsy off so little.
Plus not being able to think well.
Brain fog.
