Well, I'm sore, I'm tired, my brain is fuzzy and everything's WAAAAY too bright according to my still-fucked up eyes, but isn't that just the tell-tale day after symptoms that mean you had an incredible time? I think so!
I FINALLY GOT TO MEET BLUELIGHTERS! WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO! *giggle*
Pragmatic and Love2Roll are just the coolest kidz... Dr.Eddy was awesome too but I only got to see him for like five seconds and give him his gift before he scampered off and nobody could find him again.
But that's okay, there's meetup opportunities in the future, I'm sure.
Okay, on to the party. I went to 'It's All About the Musik' in Dayton, OH. My biggest complaint was the line to get in was pretty ridiculous... they were just searching way too extensively and keepin their kidz out in the cold. You'd think this being New Years and all, E-prods could have just looked the other way... I mean, it's New Years, kids are gunna get fucked up no matter what. Kinda pointless trying to stop it. But try they did. Kids were chanting and shit, "1-2-3-4, let us in the fucking door, 5-6-7-8, it's too cold to make us wait..." And this poor adorable dark-eyed raverboi was bouncing around near me, yanking his hair and going "This cold is killing hundreds of dollars worth of drugs... DEAR GOD LET ME INNNNNN!!"
Yanno, he had a point, too. I was in the same situation. We got in the line at 9:15 or so, and I finally got in when midnight was just seconds away... Kinda a rush actually. After all that freezing cold, I remember the kids were just like 'fuck this!' and charged the door and I was literally riding this wave of kidz and I just poured into the main room just as the lights were going crazy and everyone was shouting THREE... TWO... ONE... HAPPY NEW YEARS!
I can't complain after that though, because the party was just off the hook... The DJs did SUCH a good job spinning. My poor fairy wings, heh, they need to retire. By the time I pulled them off my back they were this mangled tangle of wires and glittery purple nylon.. the wires were sticking out like fractured bones or something. It was pretty sad looking. I think I'll keep it as a souvenir of course.
It sucked that there were like NO pills to be had at the entire party... We wanted more after freezing off so much of the mitsus. But I did get much of mine back, so it wasn't a big deal to me, but the kidz I was with were pretty annoyed that they couldn't find more. Ohh, but I got some nice liquid trip from this kid, and THAT was fun... It was perfect trip for a party, IMO.. Not real mental, just beautiful visuals, like the venue was dripping eye candy suddenly.. was nice.
Speaking of the venue, it was perfect.. This big pit place, with exits at each corner where you could get access to a stairwell that lead up to a balcony that wrapped all the way around the room. I think there was jungle going on in the basement, too, but we never made it down there... The balcony was tight though. You could look over and down below was this sea of bouncing ravers all waving their glowsticks and going wild. The lighting/laser/projections were just fuckin awesome, added beautifully to the atmosphere..
So basically we nearly missed the countdown, and lost a lot of our roll, but hell, I got to meet some bluelight kidz and danced my wings to pieces and bounced around and lived it up.. The lightshows were beautiful and the musik was off the hook, and so I think it was a totally rad way to start off the year 2000.
