I have been an IV meth user for two years. i haved used it on and off for periods of 2-4 months.
I am currently actively using. Well i have not used in 9 days, however i plan on using soon. I know i needed this break though.
i was curious if anyone could help me expand my knowledge on recovering. Specifically restoring neurotransmitter activity and brain function. What are some basics i should know? Thee past 9 days i have of course been sleeping alot, and eating tons, though it is primarily junk food.
I have a huge variety of health supplements i will post shortly.
My goal is to help my brain bounce back as much as it can in a short period of time. So i will get the most
out of my use once i start again.
any infyo is much appreciated.

I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions for you, but wanted to bump this so maybe someone more knowledgable will see it. Good luck recovering.

screw the supplements, all you need is tons of exercise, regimented sleep, and a routine that enables you to stay on track and healthy/hygienic. Just take care of yourself and treat your body with respect. Those neurotransmitters will be firing soon enough, the hard part is the insane mental cravings that will come and go. When these come, my advice is to exercise like mad and sweat it out. Realise that these cravings WILL go and you will thank yourself for not giving in. Plus you get a wicked endorphin rush that will reward you in a much more natural way. That 'fresh' feeling that i loved so much about meth. Strenuous exercise is the closest you will ever come. Let out all the negative/angry energy.

If you are inclined to take supplements there is tyrosine(dopamine related),melatonin(sleep related) and 5HTP(serotonin related).

I agree that exercise is key. If anything is close to a panacea for deficiency in neural function its exercise and meditation. Eating regularly in a healthy manner will also help; junk food will slow your progress. Beware, amphetamine abuse is hard to stop because the emotional center of your brain entertains a lot more activity than the one which oversees higher functions - for the short term, at least. This isn't medical advice, but omega three fatty acids can help with attention, depression, blood flow, and general health. You also may want to see a psychiatrist if things don't pan out the way you were hoping. There are no drugs currently approved to treat stimulant abuse, but some can help.
