Greetings Earthlings,,,,
At 28 I thought (up until coming to BL) that I was beyond the 'accepted age' of R&R (Ravin & Rollin)...
The weekend b4 I left Perth though I got to talkin to a lady who was 48 and dancin as hard as anyone else on the floor.
It got me to wondering if there is an age where people start to feel creepy around you when you're hanging out with them.
So I'm curious, what age group do people start feeling uncomfortable R&R'n with ???
To be honest, I really don't mind how old someone is as long as they are having fun. But in saying that, I think if I saw my 84 Year old Grandmother getting funky at a rave I might have a shiver run up my spine 8-)... then again, she's a pretty kewl ol lady (Her lack of memory for anything longer than 30 seconds ago gives her a great sense of humour)......
Anyway,,, thoughts anyone ????
Peace all
Namaste

I love seeing people older than me stomping hard and rolling off there nut. Met a bloke at Feb Earthcore who was 67 and hadn't taken any illegal drugs until he was 59. A real cool bloke.

"Well I have actually and it turns out that the devil is a real top bloke."

Personally I don't feel that anyone under 30 is mature enough and knows their head well enough to be allowed to take consciousness-altering drugs. Raving should be restricted to those over 30. (or at least we should be allowed to go straight to the front of the queue in deference to our advanced years.)

PS: F*@k off, Bubbles.

you're never too old!! Keep going until you're ready to stop, and never ever ever give a fuck about what other people think of your age! If you're still enjoying yourself, you're too young to stop!

I hate to say this to all the older generation out there, but it is kinda creepy when you see someone who looks like your mum/dad in the crowd.
I go out to get away from my folks, and this is kinda a younger scene. the 90's-2000's have raving and it is ours, the 60-70's had hippies etc...
It is cool though that the oulder generation can come and feel welcome, because that it is in the spirit of raving, and to tell you the truth i wish i could get my folks rolled one night; as i think everyone should try it at least once. BTW i can also see myself doing this for a long time yet, so don't be surprised if you see me still kicking round in 20yrs. let the good times roll...

focus I'll be with you in 20 years time. Growing old disgacefully, the new Great Australian Dream.

I say Keep on Rockin , Ravin and Rollin'..
Party while u have the Blood pressure..!..
And for the youngens.. don't feel strange around the oldies.. Remember they have probably been partying in any shape or form since we were all ever thought about..
Live Fast .. Die Young..!
After saying that.. makes me think that the oldies havn't been partying hard enuff..
Each to their own.....

where does the definition of 'young/old' take place though ??
IS it in the age ??
is it in the appearance ??
perhaps the attitude ?
to remember being 21 seems only a blink away at times, and the attitude I've got now is still the same as then. But being called "sir" occasionally bites as a reality check.
I think the definition of 'old' depends on who you ask. At 18 my definition of old was around 28. At 28 it's now around 40. I'm sure at 40 it will be 80 ROFLMAO
peace all

hmmm. scary. I scared myself witless when I realised that I was as close to 50 as I am to 20. But, that's kind of a 'half empty/half full' situation... so ... I choose to be the younger end..
Raving may belong to this generation, however, MDMA has been around since World War II - so it belongs more to your grandparents and the hippies than this generation..teehee... and..gee, isn't it all about the music?

There is NO age restriction on when to stop partying...think it's a little hypocritical for some people to say that they're all accepting, love to talk to strangers, blah blah, blah...but only if you're under 25...Personally..to those people...maybe you should try and hang out and party with people older than 25...you may just learn something

WE know guys and girls that are 35 plus and still rocking on...would run circles round younger people, and come out of it peachy keen...
With age comes knowledge, don't you think that would make for a better drug experience...
Being 29, i see both sides of the discussion...i pill with younger people and older people, i pilled when i was young as well...AND i hope that i can still enjoy the occasional pill when i'm 50.
Then again, each to their own...BUT don't judge older people when out, because you don't own the scene, it's there to be enjoyed by all.
I'm only as old as the person i feel...who happens to be 23

Age shouldn't be an issue. But I would hate to be on a come-down and have to be dealing with several screaming toddlers..

I would think that in another ten years the scene will be very different. Generations always seem to party on their own, and its more than likely that when I'm old, kids will be partying in some fashion that I can neither comprehend or condone (but then it would be fun trying).
I would think it a much nicer way to die, partying hard on a dancefloor enjoying myself than locked away in a retirement home (mind you: I wouldn't wish that on the people dancing next to me

I could prolly do this for a long time...... man, turn my funeral into a huge arse rave! *in memory of RR......."
But seriously? i think the minute i start having kids, will be the time ill stop R&Ring - just to be a very responsible mother - but that a VERY long time away!
seeing that infant at Wild things 2 being dragged around was very wrong and broken.....

SMILE :) - it's the second best thing you can do with your lips ;)

Yes Wet Musik, I am very serious. Who the fuck are you to put an age limit on enjoying life? As long as these "oldies" aren't actually doing anything "creepy".......then fucken good on 'em for having a crack and enjoying thier life while they can.
