Seriously guys I've been thinking about this a bit this week. Most of us seem happy, we don't have to give up our childhood yet, can still have a rewarding career. We get lots of massages, feel better than the whole planet for short periods, get to wear clothes that have the words wonky wear on them. I'm it just doesn't get any better. Plus I still get to enjoy going to Toys R' Us and shop for myself.

Seriously though, i love it. Dont know about you guys, but its like you rock up to a rave (which i see as a invites-only style party) and meetup with sooo many people, dance your ass off, feel absolutely brilliant for a couple of hours and then come-down with 70 of your new best-mates. No hassles, no probs (cept that sketchy chem feeling in the morn)
But i mean its nothing a few cones cant fix now is it??
Lets hear it for Bluelight, drugs and sensible people!!!

YYEAAAAAAHHHHHHH! I would So agree with that guys. We have the life. We all complain and shit, but at the end of the day, this is the best place to live. Clean air, nice people, good drugs, great clubs and social life, fantastic job opportunities...
What more do we want?
 
hehe was talkin bout this last night... and now time for a story...
all these americans living at my college at the moment and being shown all the usual gay touristy things. most night they go down to the pub. now theres only about 30 people living here at the moment that normally live heere (usually 200)...and so due to the fact that i live with a whol lot of footy heads, we go down to the pub most nights too. So whilst at this fantabulous drug administration facility, i am talking to these americans and the usual. most of em brainless (surprise), but a few interesting ones and some flat out fuckin funny dudes. Amongst the people i am talking to is a little blonde chick, damn cute and generally a cool person from what i could tell (altho she did ask me if australians where 'into that techno shit'...point is, another dude walks over and starts talkin to this blonde girl and just generally sorta being a smartass etc, footy boy showing off and the like. i stayed talking to the dudes i had been talkin to for a while, then shortly after decided i'd go home and do some work. As i'm leaving, i get a few people askin me if i've 'given up the chase' and whatever, and the dude that came in and interuppted my conversation looks at me and goes 'no prizes for second mate'. i walked outta there and looked back and just thought shite, look what those guys have. thats a good as it gets, standing around in a pub trying to pick up anything that breathes while getting soo drunk you spew, pass out, and wake up the next day feeling like pure shit.

I often think about this very thing more often that not with regard to my life as a whole than just the raving thing. I've been very fortunate to be born into a house where money has never been an issue and knowledge for its own sake and liberalist ideals are of prime importance.
I consider myself one of the lucky ones in that life has been pretty cruisey. The party experience is another one of those wonderful things which I am very humbled to be a part of.
More in line with what you're getting at Airwalk the times which make me stop and think about this the most would be when I'm walking thru town on my way out and see the pissed bastards in the pub and realise how infintily better my night will be than theirs'. What will they be doing in a few hours(spewing/sleeping) compared to what I'm going to be doing a few hours(Bring on Gatecrasher

On a slightly tangential note in the past two weeks I've received two parking fines($110) and at first was very unimpressed however I then reminded myself that if this(a couple of parking tickets) is the worst thing going on in my life at the moment then really I'm very fucking lucky and life's good

Everyone (pretty much) is so accepting and open minded it's fan-fucken-tastic!
What shits me is going to parties with friends from other walks of life, who aren't so open minded let alone knowledgeable, and getting patronised, looked down on and snobbed just because I do drugs and my views are different. Pffffffft to that!
I'm glad that the two "cultures" don't really mix much, let them have their world and we can enjoy ours with out the "pleasure" of their company

rbb, i know exactly how you feel... although it has been fun to "corrupt" some of the more open minded footy playas up here in sydney, what you described sounds like the typical wednesday night up here in sydney... sounds like the typical thursday, friday, saturday, sunday, monday and tuesday nights aswell... if i didn't do the drugs that i do, i would have a serious drinking problem living where i live... stupid 18-19 year old redneck fucks... *sigh*... at least my parents pay for me to live here, so i can't complain...

BMW... I dont judge others by my standard of happiness... I personally judge them when there happiness disturbs mine.
But it's these people who do what they do, but then have the nerve to sit and lecture us about our happiness. We don't do it to them, so we therefore should not have to tolerate them doing it to us.

As i'm leaving, i get a few people askin me if i've 'given up rockin' and whatever, and the dude that came in and interuppted my boogie before looks at me and goes 'no prizes for second mate'. i walked outta there and looked back and just thought shite, look what those guys have. thats a good as it gets, dancin around in a dirty little warehouse, putting any sort of chemical into their bodies trying to talk and dance with anything that breathes while getting so high you spew, pass out, and wake up the next day feeling like pure shit.

Totally agree Prometheus - when I sit down & think hard about the biggest thing that I can complain about at the moment... and it turns out to be having to re-sit an exam mid-semester b/c I'm way vague & turned up a day late... you realise that life is pretty fucking good.
 
Have to agree with this. I love my job, how many ppl can say that? I get to bounce around and be a big kid all day! I'm happier than i've been as far as I can remember, I have a great man and the only thing I have to complain about is his clingy ex.
And I can't really complain about that either cause I know he loves me. Life doesn't get much better.
There are so many people in this world who would kill to have my life, or any of ours and that's on our worst days.
It's easy to forget how lucky we are, so thanks for reminding me!
