How DOES Ohio State treat out of staters?

OSU is really similar to UW-Madison (where I go) - same size, similar location, etc., and if you're looking for what you say you are (you'd be surprised how things can change in your mind after freshman year), OSU would be a good fit for you. I know a few people who go there, and they all like it. Like everyone has said, you can always find a nice little niche to stick yourself into at a school that big. Just keep in mind that sometimes bigger schools are actually lonlier - unless you're in a specialized program, you'll never see anyone more than once every couple days, and it can be hard to form bonds unless you really work to do things outside of the academic life.

And Madison's Halloween party is way better than OSU's... :D

Us rednecks here in godd ol' Columbus Ohio don't want none of you out of staters trying to get our wimmin and education.

Actually OSU is a great place, its so big and has so many foreign students that being from a different state really won't matter. Unless, of course, that you are from Michigan. Football truly is a religion down here (as someone stated earlier).
