Thanks, I've been looking for a good arm workout! I'm trying to get into the core challenge, it's kind of blah

i'm up for the arm challenge. bit tricky doing back day (like yesterday) and chest/shoulder day (today) without focusing so much on my bis and tris. this will be tricky to sustain a whole month. can't really do legs more than once to twice each week.

actually my bigger challenge would be those days when i go pick up my son and he insists on being carried all the way home. most days, he's happy to run with me, but sometimes (like last night) if he's not carried, he chucks a tantrum. he's 15kgs of moving and squirming boy now, my biceps end up burning already.

5.75 mile trail run

I have been very pleased with my endurance over the past 2 weeks. I want to get back to 20+ miles/week as I was last year and I am succeeding.

4.2 mile trail run today

yoga in the morning. was brutal, always do it yoga at night, only done it in the mornings on weekends a few times. didn't eat or drink enough. no energy, but I hung in there and tried to do something. still got some good rehab feeling though.

went for a walk with a friend, stood in the river a skipped rocks. sunburn face.

biked around doing errands all day.

did too much exercise. tomorrow im chillin all day, then saturday afternoon i start my 58km (7K peak alt) adventure.

Rode 6 miles today. Almost ran over a homeless dude that walked in front of me. Not sure what he was thinking.

I did barbell squats, leg press, leg extensions, hamstring curls, weighted calf raises, and some shoulder and light arm work to encourage the blood flow. I think I am going to take a de-load week soon, been going at it pretty hard the past three weeks since i got back from Alabama.

Found some random dude possibly a mental patient in our house , chased him outside and down the road.

first bicycle ride in close to 20 years.

20kms/1:10
didn't sweat much. suddenly biking to and from work each day seems doable. it'd save $330/quarter on train fares. hhmmmmm.. maybe after the big trekking trip.

Wow that is a savings! The sweat factor would be major for me. I am a sweaty betty.

6.5 mile trail run

the dog looked so pitiful when I left that I decided come home after my run to hike 2.4 miles with him

It would be much more if I bought tickets more frequently than once every three months.

I don't sweat much, except for on long runs. However both my work and very close gym have showers which might come in handy next summer.

thanks, but i drink water and tea all day. my arvo piss breaks are pretty crazy as is!

20kms is good at any speed. :)

today did legs at the gym.
-cable leg curls
-cable leg extensions
-plate calf extensions (120kg x 15 x 3)
-cable squats
-barbell squats and lunges (this is probably the only weights exercise which makes me sweat. i start dripping at the elbows)

edit: lol, i was actually worried my nike lebron x max air shoe cushions might burst. =D thankfully they didn't.

do the girlies at the gym swoon when you swoosh past in your fly nikes? :P

today was upper body for me as usual, but i'm doing more core stuff to build lower back

delt raises
plank rotisserie
crunches
curls
bench press
goblet squats
tricep extensions

i was planning on doing 60km, but the first runner in my relay got stuck on a mountain in a hail storm, and ruined his knees. his 65km in 9 hours, turned into 45 in 9 and I had to book it to try and make a cutoff, but was 30 minutes late.

running downhill is much easier i find, just riskier.
