How addictive?

Ive seen people use crack and not become addicted.

Ive seen people IV all the major opioids and not become addicted.

Ive seen people use amphetamines without any addiction problems.

I have also seen plenty of people trainwreck their lives on those drugs :|

I most certainly think that it does matter the type of personality as well as family tendencies.

Everyone since 1850 in my family has abused opiates at one point in their life. Our personalities are very similar. And this was not due to family introduction. Everyone discovered it just as the one before, by a simple pain that was misjudged by a P.C.P., and too strong an opiate was used, and the enjoyment was the exact relief that we all have problems with.

Drug use is purely a choice that a person has made based on different situations.

Thing to keep in mind with meth is that you're living on borrowed time. That dopamine doesn't come out of nowhere, you deplete your supplies and feel like complete hell when it wears off. What goes up must come down and all that.

What do u mean. If you take alot of meth. Normal doses not that much as it is safe for prescription. If you took enough precursors like tyrosine frequently too you might not have so much of a problem with that...

the most physically addictive drugs IME are methamphetamine, heroin, benzos, nicotine and crack... followed closely by cocaine then alcohol...

it is possible to use these drugs only on rare occasions... but most people who start using recreationally will end up being addicts....

I think it depends on the person really .

I know a few friends who do meth , oxy , H like once a month .

And on the other hand I have friends that have fucked up their lives and simply can't be fucked with life without these drugs

It is just part of every living mammal to want reward.
And if you felt rewarded by a drug, would you not want to do this everyday?

I'm just saying that for some, drugs are the most exiting thing in some peoples day.
This especially applies to addicts.

There is abolsutely no history of substance abuse w/i my family and w/i the family of my SO. Wonder where me and him got it from, cuz seriously if you look at every single person I know that is genetically related to me I can't really find a single substance abuser. His family is the same. Maybe some had hidden problems, but no trainwrecks.

I do believe some drugs have more potential for addiction in some users. And you never know which drug will give you problems. For some its alcohol, meth, E, coke...for me it was H and the opiate family.

Also what I noticed matters is how happy you are with your life situation. Depression and anxiety and hopelessness can lead people into addiction during these vulnerable times when they wouldn't have gotten addicted during other times of their lives.

I think he's saying that when you do enough meth to where your dopamine levels get so high that it is totally out of anything natural, you totally ruin those dopamine receptors each time you do that much, so you can do a lot of meth, but eventually if you do it too often the high will be way less.
