Heroin to Suboxone Transition Failure...HELP!

So I've been trying to switch from Heroin to Suboxone the last few weeks with not success. I've done it successfully in the past both by myself and under the supervision of a doctor. Those 4 times in the past were seamless. I mean I was in full blown WDs but other than that it went well. So lately I've been smoking about 2 Grams of dope a day. Last week I waited nearly 30+ hours before taking subs. Did the same thing today. Today around the 25 hour mark I was in full wds. Dosed 4 mgs of suboxone. Waited about 30 minutes dosed another 2 mgs. Started to feel better. Took another 4 about and hour and a half in and the wds hit me like ton of bricks. Was spaced out, weak, dizzy, terrible aches and pains not to mention the RLS. Assuming I had thrown myself into precipitated wds I scored and felt much better a couple hours later. Any ideas on why it's been so hard the last 2 weeks with these attempts? Also with taking nearly 16mgs and smoking some dope leveled me off. Just curious what I should do tomorrow when I start to get sick. Should I attempt to take subs again or stick with the dope keeping in mind I work at 3:00 in the afternoon. Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for your help!

Suboxone is worse than heroin. Use small amounts, like 2-4 mg every 12 hours to get through those 2-3 days of severe physical withdrawal, but after that, you have to start reducing the dose every day or every other day, go down to 1mg per day and then stop. Research about what vitamins and minerals and natural supplements you can take to help ease the physical discomfort. The mental part you need to figure out yourself...tell your family and friends about your problem if you feel comfortable, or even if you don't feel comfortable, if you trust that they will help you and be supportive, tell them anyway and let them help you. Surrender yourself to recovery.

Magnesium supplements can REALLY help big time with the RLS. I know that is one of the worst problems when trying to sleep through WD's. Go buy a bottle or two of high quality Magnesium supplements (ask the pharmacist for the best quality brand...usually you get what you pay for but look for sales like buy one get one free, etc). Potassium (bananas) also helps big time.

Thanks for the reply. I am very natural driven person when it comes to diet and vitamins so I've got that portion under control. However, I was unaware of the Magnesium. I will that since I'm gearing up for next battle to try and switch this weekend. Just so bizarre to me that transitioning can be so different time to time. Tapering off subs is usually pretty easy for me. Just getting on them this time has been. Guess I'll try waiting longer than 30 some hours despite the fact I was in full blown wds. Thanks again!

Suboxone is not worse than heroin people need to stop saying stuff like that ya you're going to be physically dependant on it but at least you're not in full blown addition mode and breaking into people's houses or holding up a pharmacy it's not all about being dependant it's about quality of life and people told me that I could kick oxy in three or four days and then it's done and at least for me (and Alot of other people I've spoken with) that's the easy part the hard part is I guess what they call paws I made it through the first shitty days but after that it was a whole new ball game I'm talking about being extremely lethargic like feeling that I wasn't even really in my body hard to explain just wasn't there then the horrible cravings and obsessing over using to the point of a panic attack no drive to do anything other than staying home watching TV and definitely not wanting to go into social situations this part was hardest and why switched to suboxone maintenance I still slip up from time to time but it's a hell of Alot Better than being in full blown addict mode

^^^Aint that the truth!!! Suboxone was definitely what did the trick for me.Whoever invented that stuff should get a Nobel prize.
