Heroin/Suboxone - Experienced - using heroin within 24 hours of taking suboxone

So, I've read a number of threads on this topic and largely agree with the information in them. However, I've found that after about 12 hours after a small dose of suboxone, I'm able to feel some effects. Some of this is certainly a placebo and honestly I wasn't completely convinced that it wasn't entirely just me being a fiend until yesterday. My girlfriend and I are kicking a 10-12 bag a day habit of about the best dope I've ever encountered in south philly (north is generally better, although can be a crapshoot). We weaned ourselves down to 6 bags (2 3-bag shots) a day for about 5 days before we started subs and that was just barely keeping us well, honestly the reason we were doing so little was we were scraping together our rent, and really, the main reason I'm kicking is that my tolerance is too high and my arms are all jacked up to the point where the only place I can reliably hit is already an abcess. I fully intended going into it to get high again within the next couple weeks, although generally in the past once I've kicked I'm pretty good about not jumping straight back into the habit... ANYWAY, back on point. As I've established, the missus and I are broke and started suboxone with 2 and a half 8 mg strips between the two of us. Yesterday, I took about a third of a strip and still felt like shit about 4-6 hours later. I bummed some cottons off my roommate, who is still using (great situation to kick in, right?) To give myself some peace of mind, if nothing else. Now, his habit is the same as if not more than mine was and he's getting the same dope I am, which tends to leave a good amount of residue, so I got a pretty fat shot out of the five or so cottons he gave me, and muscled it. After a few moments I found myself feeling better and actuslly had an appetite. The appetite specifically is what has me fully convinced that it's not a placebo affect, although this time as in the past I've felt a lighter than normal heroin high that sort of feels like it hits a wall somewhere before the full body high. I think the reason this worked for me is the low dose of subs in comparison to my dope habit.

The sentiment is definitely appreciated but this man already knows this. Good luck kicking, it might be good to get on health insurance and get a script for Suboxone. A daily dose over 12-16mgs should definitely make shooting H not only useless but not economically feasible. It's not a perfect solution but it's given me stability and peace of mind and able to approach recovery without the fog of opioids because once acclimated to my dose I don't even get constipation, my mind is clear and hormone levels are able to normalize. It is definitely preferred to get clean by being completely clean but Suboxone allows IV junkies who have failed many times to be stable and actually work on themselves without the constant threat of relapse which is what usually gets us and it's right back into it within days.

Anyways, it sounds like your receptors weren't blockaded and the Suboxone actually potentiated the Heroin.

^wtf??? if you're going to go the psychedelic route use Ibogaine or methoxetamine, even DXM, LSD isn't known for getting people off heroin.

I've shot dope so good that it's broke through a 24mg maintenance dose (in fact this has happened several times) though usually the Buprenorphine completely blocks it. Also you have to consider that you don't have the subs built up in your system yet so that 2.33mg amount of buprenorphine (which isn't even really a blocking dose) was destined to leave your system pretty fast.
