Opium itself was considered an aphrodisiac by some. The tiny amounts of strychnine in 'red pills', the proto-scramble of the 20's-40's, probably was to counter-act constipation and dope dick since it was used a a digestive/sexual tonic, probably also to mimic thebaine in opium.

You see, back in the day up till the 50's and as late as the 60's in some places, most opiate addicts were "hop heads", opium smokers.The main shit in opium was morphine, codeine, papaverine/cryptopine(muscle relaxants), narcotine(weak stimulant), narceine(weak depressant), and thebaine(strong stimulant)., In China H was sold as an "anti-opium" cure.They had heroin(in place of morphine/codeine), quinine(in place of papaverine/cryptopine/narceine), caffeine(either in place of narcotine, or because Hop heads liked tea with O) and strychnine(in place of thebaine). Of course they'd stop taking opium, it's fucking heroin8o!It was used as a cheap, easier to get replacement for opium. Eventually the "anti-opium" H pills spread to the US. Later they dropped the other shit and scramble was born.

Is most the dope there Colombian? Doubt it's Mexican. Isn't Baltimore one of the few places in the US to get China white(Burmese shit, not the fentanyl knock-off)? Is it white or brown. Does it turn dark, yellow or clear when prepped?
 
Fuck my dealer his good ass grey shit fell off yesterday now its this shitty ass tan stuff. I thinj its a sign its about time to quit coupled with what happened on the ride there yesterdsy which i may writr a blog about later it was fuckon crazy wut i went thru in that storm to get it

Oh yesss that grey raw is amazing. I've only had a few times but I was nodding all fucking day off one bag. I usually get the tan raw that's really good too and sometimes the darker brown stuff that's average. On the rare occasions that I get scramble it pisses me off. I mean sometimes it's decent, and it's really cheap, but usually is really shitty. I actually got some decent scramble today and even after snorting two whole capsules (keep in my mind my opiate tolerance is pretty low) i'm still not where I want to be. Plus, I only snort dope so I don't get to enjoy the rush that scramble gives you.

Baltimore dope is really good though and when you find a decent dealer it makes copping sooo much easier. Back in the day I had to go to the really bad ghetto and search for that shit. Even when I found someone he would make me wait like 30 minutes just for some average dope. Then one day I finally found a good connect who I can just call, drive up to the spot, and get the shit right away. Also, he lives on the fringes of the ghetto so the area isn't even that bad. I get the dope and in two minutes i'm back in a good part of town. Lately though the guy has been slipping...the last few times I got average raw and scramble. Plus, he made me meet him in a really rough spot of town. I hope this shit is just temporary because we really had a good thing going. I think he might have some heat on him :(.
 
Yea man thats the worst when you have a really good dealer then out of nowhere once youre getting used to things going so smooth they fall off.. i thought this happened with my guy a few weeks ago-- all he ever had was real good ass grey shit but then one day it was tan garbage... luckily though after only having to cop that twice he got some grey shit again :)

Its not as good as the initial batches whixh were always the same but still kicks the hell out of anything else around that i know of

I used to blind cop in the ghettos of east baltimore but never will again its waaay too sketchyy, im fortunate to have a guy that i meet in a nice neighborhood now

Yea youre right though for sniffing scramble sucks soooo bad, when i used to just sniff opanas i got what my IV user friend said was some real good shit and when i sniffed it it felt like i took a perc 5 but burned like i snorted battery acid haha, not a good ratio

I've been getting high in Baltimore for about 12 years now. Most people start off copping on the streets and then over time just build relationships with different dealers. At this point, I do everything on the phone cause street copping is just too dangerous. If you're like me, you've got a bunch of drug charges by this point and it interferes with the income you would spend on heroin by making getting jobs more difficult. So, I've got like 8 dudes I can get shit from at damn near anytime of day on the phone now. Grams, 50s, 20s, 10s, whatever. But I like raw, so those are the dudes I fuck with.

I've been pistol whipped, robbed several times, burned tons of times, etc. copping on the streets of bmore. East side tends to be a little crazier than the west side. You don't hear about people getting shot in the ass on the west side. NW is where the raw is at. Other parts have raw, but it's mostly scramble unless you're fucking with someone on the phone.

We've got a lot of really good shit around here. Damn near all of my friends from out of town that come here and try this shit get all stupid high thinking they can handle their usual doses.

That all being said, I'd like to get clean. You can only be spoiled with banging dope for so long before it becomes a problem.

But you know what we need? A clean, regular source of heroin for heroin users like they have in the UK and other parts of Europe. Inexpensive, available, and impurity-free.
 
There's a lot of good grey shit, but you can never tell by the color.

I've been getting this shit recently that's like real white with a very mild yellow tinge. It cooks into a super deep, but clear, amber color. And it's off the fucking chain. Of standard quality raw, I need like 5 20s to get a nice hit and this shit I've been only needing like 2 20s and I get a BANGING tingle rush and am fucked up out my mind. Spent the last couple of days napping on and off between shots. :-)

I know everyone says color is no indicator, but the two times ive had grey has almost always been superior to the other shit ive had... in terms of raw at least

For scramble ive had it vary wildely between different colors in pill/cooked though
 
hello all posting in this thread---and its JUST the thread Ive been looking for.
to start off, I am NOT sourcing. I am moving to DC in a month, 24 year old girl, starting school. Also, havent been able to figure out from my research if there IS much of a scene in DC...most discussions on the area seem to end up talking about baltimore, which is obviously a good dope city..but WHAT ABOUT DC?
again, NOT sourcing, just interested since theres not much talk on the subject...anybody know whats up with DC? open air? good quality? reasonable prices?

if you dont mind me asking, where are you driving from? Im moving to DC in a month and am trying to research the scene, all the DC threads get hijacked by Baltimore info- which i get, i know Bmore has better dope at better prices and better availability, but im moving to DC alone, wont have a car, and am not familiar enough (actually not familiar at ALL) with Baltimore to just hope a bus/train and feel it out on my own. Plus, from what i understand, it can be quite dangerous if youre not sure where to go, and as a 23 year old white girl im not in the best position to just hit the streets by myself and blind ya know?
