Heroin Help i think one of my veins collasped what do I do?

You should be able to hit two different spots in the crook.

The basilic is generally easier and more 'popping out' than the cephalic, but I am referring to where the basilic splits into the median cubital vein as the second spot you should be able to hit. The cephalic seems to be deeper in most people, although I have certainly saw some bulging ones, but that seems to be more with people that work out a lot.

look ,man up a little, actually put some time into finding good spot cause u cant see them doesnt mean they arent there

I have attempted to hit other veins in my arm but find it very dfficult. my veins are so deep. I am going to try getting clean, so hopefully I can put down the needle for good and not have to worry about any of this.

There are two that run along the wrist that are relatively easy to hit if you use the spearing technique (pushing in towards the direction the vein rolls) don't fucking shoot into your feet or ankles ir you still got veins in your arms and hands that work, and you should be able to get just as good of a rush shooting from different veins in your arm as long as your not missing the shot. Also I'm not sure how much water you mix your solution with, but I always use no more than 20 units with dope, and no more than 10 with coke. I say this not because less water means bigger rush, but because you have less of a chance of missing a lot of your dope if you do slip out, and that way you can register and just pump it in. Though for harm reductions sake it's always good to test your dope out in small increments before you go shooting away, so sometimes re-registering halfway through the shot is good at first to make sure your still in the vein but also to make sure your dopes not so strong it's going to kill you

I have no idea what the needle exchange situation is in your area, but the exchange where I live has registered nurses on site that will find veins for you to use for injection and give you great advice about how to use IV drugs safely. That's what this forum is all about: harm reduction. I'd swing by your local needle exchange if there is one in your area and go from there. Best of luck to you

getting clean is great but if your ready

one thing i learned was to try and keep veins healthy ..and look for other ones that will work fine so to give the others a break

lift some weights ,heavy and intense then hop in a hot ass shower ...see if u find anything then ,but if u choose to go clean more power to ya

That seems pretty weird that you could draw blood into the syringe but then not push the plunger down, sounds like a clogged or faulty syringe to me, not a collapsed vein. Which has happened to me before, I just switched to a fresh syringe and it was fine. However, you should definitely try alternating veins for other reasons. There are tons of threads on here already about the best methods for injecting, how to keep your veins healthy and so on. There have been several just in the past week. Try searching for them.

Veins can be partially collapsed so you can withdraw a tiny bit of blood but not inject - definitely time to find a new site. I know it's tempting to keep reusing the same vein over and over if it's your best, but rotating sites really is one of the keys to keeping your veins healthy. The other is to use a fresh needle, every single time
Yes that's true, but it wouldn't mean that one would be unable to press down on the plunger at all, you can still depress the plunger and inject when you aren't properly in a vein or the vein is damaged. It will just hurt and the liquid will go into your skin, flesh or muscle instead of being absorbed in the bloodstream. Unless maybe the OP just meant it was slightly more difficult to depress the plunger and didn't feel like it was in a vein so they stopped right away. I have definitely had the experience of being able to draw a little bit of blood but then not being able to properly inject - so frustrating because then you are stuck with a bloody mixture in your syringe which makes it even harder to flag and inject properly (although def not impossible). In either case I would recommend putting the liquid in a fresh syringe before trying again in a different vein.

anyone ever injected say on your hand and all of a sudden it stings further up your arm where a collapsed vein is? i mean exactly where that vein used to be ,it kinda feels like well what i would imagine sand to feel like runing through the vein

does this mean blood still travels through collapsed veins? cause i still got rush etc this was a month or so ago ive been clean since then
