Help: are there any drugs that produce a similar feeling to being drunk/intoxicated?

I was wondering if there are any recreational (heroin, ecstasy, weed etc.) or prescription drugs (valium, xanax) that produce a high that is similar to feeling drunk on alcohol? People have always said that a drug intoxication and alcohol intoxication are miiiiiles apart in terms of how they make you feel (e.g. alcohol making one sluggish and tired, while drugs energise and provoke activity). While other people say that there are some recreational drugs that feel somewhat like you are drunk/tipsy.

I have never experimented with drugs before but I have always considered it, however nothing hard.

Seroquel will sedate you to another world, but there can be negative and sometimes permanent psychological effects.

ghb, gbl, 1,4-BDO
I'm very curious how many times you guys that say ghb is close to alcohol have used this substance. I myself over 300 times probably around 500. On a daily basis and a monthly basis. Ghb is super deadly and produces a very Very clear enhanced mood and big euphoric sense to it. I can compare it to a first time xanax and an oxycontin mixed with ecstacy but in no way shape or form is it intoxicating like alcohol. It is euphoric alcohol is not and if you think different tell me what you're using because really I cannot compare g to anything close to alcohol nor should it be mixed.......I wish people would quit spilling unknowledgable information on the bdd. Ghb kicks in after 15mins tops and you get an extreme sense of euphoria some find it to intense then you get energized theeeeen after 2 hours you usually get the spins and black out. It is a substitute but its not comparable to alcohol at all which I've heard stay sedated say more than once and it annoys me.

Drugs that produce the typical alcoholic uncoordination include most any GABAa positive allosteric modulator. Z-drugs (zopiclone, zolpidem), chloral hydrate/chlorobutanol, diethyl ether, isoamyl alcohol (2-methyl-2-butanol), barbiturates (Seconal, etc), benzodiazepines to an extent (Ativan, Xanax, Valium etc), carbamates (carisoprodol/Soma, meprobamate, phenprobamate etc), GBL and friends (GHB, 14BD), pregabalin, (gabapentin maybe), chloroform (turns into phosgene in your liver :\), and some aromatic and aliphatic (hydro, chloro, fluoro)carbon solvents you shouldn't be ingesting.

Alcohol also acts on ion channels of various sorts and blocks NMDA. Drugs like ketamine or DXM can produce a 'drunken' feeling too. To someone who just wants to alter their mental state in a more general sense, cannabis works well for inducing a state of intoxication if you're not vulnerable to panic attacks, although theoretically most other drugs would work (opiates especially, but those have a huge physical addiction issue)

And nobody here is claiming GHB and friends, or any of these drugs, are the exact same as alcohol. They just work by the same common method in your brain (although some have other effects, GHB in particular stimulates the GHB receptor)

I did misread this so sorry but its been noted by me so there lol. And yea it works on gaba like no other

2-methyl 2-butanol is fun. If you can get over the taste and dilute it well enough you can sip it like any other beverage you are accustomed to. It last longer than ethanol.

methaqualone, barbiturates(esp. secobarbital & phentobarbital), strong benzos(temazepam, flunitrazepam), placidyl, chloral hydrate, pregabatin, gabapentin, GHB, GBL...

the list goes on, most strong GABAergics will produce these intoxicating effects.

True, but access to over half of those is compromised by illegality and low availability in most areas.

nothing some $$$ can't take care of... ;)

Have you ever just roamed around with solid stacks looking for the next big thing? That's a little out of the way, don't you think?

I was just stating something cheap and effective. Ya know? But, if they can afford it, the sky and overdosing is always your limit.

GBH - just dont drink anything on it.
next thing to it is xanax, but after few hours you will fall asleep.
