Healthcare Isn't A Free Market: It's A Giant Economic Scam

Well, the solution to this probably is probably universal healthcare, but that would be socialist, and a free-market solution would be a brutal depiction that the free market has no problem with letting people die, so we have a heavily regulated system that's problematic to say the least. Since even the heavy regulated system has some pretty massive issues (in part due to regulations about not letting people die), we're trying this "force you to buy health insurance" compromise that Democrats don't tend to like because it's not universal, and Republicans don't like because Obama is behind it*.

*Obamacare is just Romneycare with the serial numbers filed off of it, and Romneycare is just a reimagining of the Republican counterproposal to Nixon's healthcare plans, which has deeper roots in a Nixon proposal for healthcare. So yep, the idea has a lengthy Republican pedigree. Yet the Republicans hate it. Either they are idiots, or they hate Obama.

I still laugh when i hear people call Canada's health care system Socialist :D . I guess they don't know the difference between nationalization and Socialism. The Canadian system is becoming more and more like the American system and it is pretty much so broken through years of cuts and mismanagement by both the Liberals and Conservatives that i think it is way beyond reforming. A new health care system would be preferable to reforming the old one but as to what model to use i don't know. All i know is that including the free market in health care is a bad thing altogether. But the Capitalists like to have their cake and eat it to by letting in business but trying to stop poor people from dying at the same time so Capitalism does not look as barbaric as it really is. We can learn alot from the American system on how not to run a health care system actually. Not that ours is a whole lot better these days mind you.

Yeah it's weird how the GOP hates the very notion of Obamacare but the idea basically goes all the way back to Nixon. Obama did just rip off Romneycare so i think they just hate the idea of the Democrats actually making Obamacare work at all instead of the GOP doing it. Or they could just hate the evil Muslim Socialist Obama :p

thats a bargain actually

It could have been worse, definitely. Fortunately only one of them required her to stay longer than overnight. Its sad though that this expense can be considered cheap, I think.

You don't even know what Capitalism is, so I don't think anyone should take your word on it.

Christ your grouchy aren't ya :D ? No i guess people should take your word for everything instead of say looking it up for themselves since you seem to know more about everything then anyone else on this board. According to your own account though mind you :\ . People don't have to take my word for it or your word for it as they can just google it and come up with this
an economic system in which investment in and ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange of wealth is made and maintained chiefly by private individuals or corporations

Do you have nothing better to do then stalk my posts? Your following me around like a bad flu ffs man

I am pretty sure I have stated more than once what Capitalism is, and have pointed out that I am here to reply to any critiques you have and you have as of yet never replied in a civil manner that warrants me to respect you in any manner that presumes your knowledge on anything on any level.

Now if you wish to civilly discuss this and correct my well documented and discovered conclusions, by all means this thread is apparently available for you to do so.

Stalk your posts on a public site, that I am active on on a decently regular basis. You have nothing better to reply with than ad-hom's and accusations based upon faulty premises and emotional outbursts that do nothing but display how hostile you are towards actual civil discourse.

You might be correct in assuming that I am not one to beat about the bush and be friendly towards those that have refused to do so towards me in the past.
