Health problems from IV use?

About two weeks ago, had my guy who has been supplying my opiate regimen shoot me up with 30mg of oxycodone about two weeks ago and I'm concerned about the possible health reprocussions from this incident..

Facts: I have not had any adverse problems health wise, but the dealer himself I'm concerned about.. The insulin syringe was still in an incasing, and he went on about how this was a BRAND-NEW syringe, but as I'm not sure as to what the new syringe casing/packing would look like as this was my first and only IV use. He used a separate syringe, NEVER shared the syringe and he gave it to me once the session was over. He's said multiple times that he's clean of diseases, but I know for a fact he has not been tested.. (ridiculous I know..) I was instantly disgusted with myself and have since had a huge amount of guilt now resulting in me planning on getting a full STD test tomorrow if I can get into my local health clinic, but figured I would post here as my first way of taking care of this problem.. All helpful information would be greatly appreciated on this issue. I'm a25 yr old cancer survivor with otherwise great health as the cancer has been in remission for close to 18 months.. Mod's: I'm sorry if this isnt the correct forum but searched over the other forums' and this seemed most fitting; if not, please relocate to the proper area if so exists. thank you!

Are you affraid of catching STDS or HEP C/AIDS? I don't think you need a STD test unless you were mistaken.. Most syringes around here come in their own sealed packages and you can tell they havn't been opened usually by looking and seeing if the plunger was a little pulled back full of air, not pushed all the way down. But they do also come in packages of 10+ which makes it harder to tell if it's been used or not..If you're worried def have the tests done, but be aware that it takes a good ammount of time for the prescence of of AIDS/hep C to become detectable in the body.
