Hmm..never generally that un-PC a person, but have had a couple of awkward moments on drugs.
The only one I'll mention here is being under the influence of Kratom during a therapy session where I got carried away and started ranting about how much I dislike Saudi Arabians ending with 'I can't fucking stand them' - only for the therapist to inform me 'well, actually my father is from Saudi', cue intense back tracking and profuse apologies whilst I emphasised I meant the fundamentalists, not the entire population (I meant the entire population lolol).

I called a shitty plastic bong a “nigger rig” in front of a black friend one time. Dude wasn’t exactly the kinda guy to fuck up like that around.. We were all in the car and everyone in the car just went silent.
I calmly told him sorry and then said if we need to pull over and settle it out we can do that cuz I didn’t want this to turn into a thing. He told me it was cool and based on our friendship after that I assume he meant it.
Normally that woulda been a nasty fight but I think my immediately owning the fuck up followed by trying to make it right earned some respect.
Moral of the story, don’t say stupid racist shit.

I wonder why punk gets a free pass when a few of them wore swastikas. The defence i suppose is that it was just a form of rebellion. And paul weller saying he was voting thatcher 1979. And the specials too much too young saying a kid is "just another burden on the welfare state". And elvis costello calling ray charles "a dumb n-.". I flicked thru costellos book and i think he uses a combination defence of "i was drunk and on a long tour" - I thought "fuck off - you were being a cunt on purpose to piss off some american journalists who hurt your feelings by implying you were shit compared to ray charles - you knew exactly what you were saying". But i suppose that would be too honest a thing to say 40 years later in an era when theres no possible "defence" of saying it.
Even lennon - george melly said to him "you must accept black music is better than white rock music and stole from it". Lennon said "i accept nothing of the fucking sort. Not only is our music better, its more original too"
The only one who still takes shit from those days for some reason is clapton and his enoch powell "speech". They asked him to apologise for it at some gig - maybe the nelson mandela gig - and he said "am i fuck gonna apologise for it". Which i agreed with - what does "apologising" for something you said when you were drunk 50 years ago actually mean?
I think they finally got round to cancelling fawlty towers for the bit with the black doctor. They havnt shown spike milligans Q series for 40 years because of some of the blackface he does.
Anyone old enough to remember trendy student t-shirt shops in the late 80s? They sold one with a pic of hitler saying "european tour 1939-45". Never actually saw anyone wearing one tho. They even sold the sid vicious swastika t shirt.

Lennon said they didn't "rip off" black music but there was definitely a "love in" with it. HGe's on record many many times as saying he was enthralled with black music as a teen and it was all he listened too, shrug
EDIT one thing he said “We didn’t sing our own songs in the early days – they weren’t good enough,” Lennon remarked, “the one thing we always did was to make it known that there were black originals, we loved the music and wanted to spread it in any way we could.”
Specials were referring to girls getting preggers on purpose in order to live off the state for 20 years

However, to say that 'nobody' does is 100% inaccurate
In at least two place I've lived in England during the 80's it was pretty much the main reason for procreation. I've heard it straight from the horses mouth many, many times. On at least four occasions I've even heard mothers advising their daughters to get pregnant asap so they can leave home into their newly-acquired council house which they would only get if they were expecting. It was seen as a wise move, almost as a career choice.
Again - you may not have got pregnant for that reason, but to say that 'nobody' does or has done is total nonsense. Thousands have done!

well they dont graft as hard as me. At 4:30am im up ingesting decarbed cannabis and cbd then its back to bed till it kicks in then its up and at em at 8 30 for a big dose of 4aco. I tell you its a mans life!

Agreed, he certainly did. However, we tend to grow and change, as he did too. What you say age 20 is gonna be different from age 30, hopefully..
Lennon was a wife-beater, a homophobe and generally a violent person up until a certain age. He was full of rage and traumatised from losing his mother early etc. He was open about it, one famous quote was "I was a violent man who has learned not to be violent" I too was full of rage as a teen...I grew, so did he.
Yeah course the tories etc...The Specials however were a bunch of primarily working class kids, clearly anti-establishment and were one of the first bands to have a few black and a few white members, so I think you're barking up the wrong tree using them to illustrate your point tbh

AT THE SAME TIME as also being the complete opposite as well - you feel me? i dont think its a linear progression from arsehole to good guy..i think the arsehole exists WITH the good guy..YES!.i have been eating too much decarbed and 4aco. Im just going for my afternoon constitutional now - last week i was so high i got lost on the way back...
