Have question about buprenorphine prescription..

I have a legit prescription for buprenorphine. Over the last few years I've tapered down from 16mgs to 2mgs daily. I go to CVS and have been a customer there for years. I see my dr every other month, he writes me a prescription for the day of and one for a month out. My next prescription is for the 21st (tomorrow)...I'm wondering if I can drop it off after midnight and get it filled then and there? It's a controlled substance but one that I've been taking for almost 3 years. I usually go to a CVS next to my dr but plan to go to a 24 hour one next to my house. Just not sure if they'll fill it right after midnight. Has anyone else done this successfully?

They are allowed to do so. Cannot say for sure if CVS or the pharmacist has some policy against it though.

You can call them anonymously and just ask.

I called and they said I could drop it off whenever (before midnight if I so choose) and they'll start filling it the date of (basically...yes I can drop it off after midnight and get it filled). Hopefully she meant it
