Do you ever feel resentful about the place you have been given in life?

I often feel that anger is a proper response to the world we live in and that to feel any diffferent good for us but not an honest response to reality

Is there more to life than learning to respond to one problem after another?

Should we feel gratitude for being lied to about anything and everything from the moment we are born?

Sure things may be a certain way but lets call it like it is...who with any heart would create life to be as it now is?

have to feel pain to experience gratitude...oh please stfu

I try to focus on enjoying the happiness when it's there, that can be nice. But I still find myself asking similar questions. I probably even got a fairly good hand in a lot of ways.

Hey dillpickles,

I am sorry that you have been feeling this way, and I hope you can find happiness. In my opinion the perception of the world we live in is in the eye of the beholder, and are we not blessed to be given the opportunity to experience these situations and have our own thoughts? Do you think having someone to talk to could help with how you are feeling?

The place you begin is out of your control. The place you are in now is your responsibility.
You aren't lied to about everything. It is your responsibility to think, and acquire different information.
Earth, or the universe for that matter, was not created by 'who with any heart'

All of your hate is a result of your experience, nurture.

All feelings can be healthy, but when there is an imbalance in your overall emotional state, when something is perpetually felt as a result of your state of mind, I no longer deem it a result of the world nor a healthy response.
By the very definition of healthy.. It is unhealthy.

The purpose of life is to give your life purpose. What you take from your experiences is your call.

You may like the words of A. Schopenhauer
Unless suffering is the direct and immediate object of life, our existence must entirely fail of its aim. It is absurd to look upon the enormous amount of pain that abounds everywhere in the world, and originates in needs and necessities inseparable from life itself, as serving no purpose at all and the result of mere chance. Each separate misfortune, as it comes, seems, no doubt, to be something exceptional; but misfortune in general is the rule.
I know of no greater absurdity than that propounded by most systems of philosophy in declaring evil to be negative in its character. Evil is just what is positive; it makes its own existence felt. Leibnitz is particularly concerned to defend this absurdity; and he seeks to strengthen his position by using a palpable and paltry sophism. It is the good which is negative; in other words, happiness and satisfaction always imply some desire fulfilled, some state of pain brought to an end.
Our existence is based solely on the ever-fleeting present. Essentially, therefore, it has to take the form of continual motion without there ever being any possibility of our finding the rest after which we are always striving. It is the same as a man running downhill, who falls if he tries to stop, and it is only by his continuing to run on that he keeps on his legs; it is like a pole balanced on one’s finger-tips, or like a planet that would fall into its sun as soon as it stopped hurrying onwards. Hence unrest is the type of existence.
In a world like this, where there is no kind of stability, no possibility of anything lasting, but where everything is thrown into a restless whirlpool of change, where everything hurries on, flies, and is maintained in the balance by a continual advancing and moving, it is impossible to imagine happiness. It cannot dwell where, as Plato says, continual Becoming and never Being is all that takes place. First of all, no man is happy; he strives his whole life long after imaginary happiness, which he seldom attains, and if he does, then it is only to be disillusioned; and as a rule he is shipwrecked in the end and enters the harbour dismasted. Then it is all the same whether he has been happy or unhappy in a life which was made up of a merely ever-changing present and is now at an end.

Hi dillpickles. I'm sorry to hear you are feeling so dejected at the moment.

Do you ever feel resentful about the place you have been given in life?

I used to. I felt like I had been kicked in the face by life from birth. There was no way it could have been anyone's fault so who was I to blame? These days my attitude towards life is naturally mindful. I take everything as it happens. There's no point dwelling on the past and worrying constantly about the future.

I often feel that anger is a proper response to the world we live in and that to feel any diffferent good for us but not an honest response to reality

Anger is the go-to emotion for a lot of people but it rarely leads to anything good. Usually it will make the situation worse if dealt with in anger.

Is there more to life than learning to respond to one problem after another?

Yes. Oh gods yes. In the words of a friend, "You must first struggle with life to appreciate what it gives you." Nobody has a life with no problems, but everyone will find a point in their life where they have run out of problems to deal with.

Should we feel gratitude for being lied to about anything and everything from the moment we are born?

Yes IMO. Being lied to as a child protects you from the harsh reality of adulthood. It's something you need to learn about yourself. The problem is that many people can't get out of the cycle of lies that they dig themselves into. These people should be pitied.

Sure things may be a certain way but lets call it like it is...who with any heart would create life to be as it now is?

Actually, everyone. Sure you can wish to live a life with no problems, having everything handed to you on a silver spoon, but look how vapid, empty and alone those people really are. You have a heart and you have made your own life with your choices. If you want it to be different you have to put the work in to change it.

Do you ever feel resentful about the place you have been given in life?

I'm definitely not feeling this way. I'm incredibly thankful to be alive and feel I have gotten to a pretty nice place in life all things considered.

That is just me though. I think that there are parts of your life worth getting to, even if it involves many years of struggling to get there. <3

the perception of the world we live in is in the eye of the beholder

This is so true. :)
