hash. how to tell its real and how to smoke it

i have some hash. well i hope. didnt know the guy very well. it looks like hash but it doesnt smell like weed and kinda smells nice in a way very non-offensive. also if it's real should i break it up into a powder and smoke it in a joint or a bowl? any help would be great.
 
one easy way to tell if you have real hash is to put in in some water. real hash should not dissolve in water at all. one time somebody sold me some hash and when i got home it looked suspect.. i thought it could have been some european soap so i put it in some water and it started dissolving and breaking up. i dont think it was even soap just something totally fake
 
Lightbulb vaporizer. Or an "oil pipe", also known as a crack pipe or meth pipe.

Or you could hotknife it, or crush and sprinkle on a bowl, or in a joint...
 
i usually just crumble it up and put it on some weed.. if i dont have any weed i'd just smoke it in a bowl by itself. if you have a glass bowl with a large hole, take a rolling paper and rip a bit off of it, crumble it into a small ball and use that to stop the hash from going through the hole

oh also, it could still be fake if it doesnt dissolve, but real hash wont dissolve so if it does dissolve it is fake :)
 
On aluminium foil is a good method too.

If its powdery, it should also stick together if you press it.
 
do you americans get real hash then??????

anything other than soapbar is unheard of round here....although i've been lucky enough to sample various pollens, a charas, and a soft hash on occasions.
 
I wouldn't recommend smoking hash from a bong - it's way, way too harsh to get lots of hash into your lungs that quickly.

Burn it till it's more crumbable (word?), crumble it and spread it evenly around a joint and smoke that. Only then you'll know whether it was real or not.

Ps. Hash doesn't smell exactly like weed, but there definetly is a certain similarity. The better the hash, the more it'll smell like weed <-- my theory.
 
I put a ball of hash in a cone piece and use a gravity bong. Pull it very very slowly and take a lungful. I recommend sitting down afterwards :D
 
Smoke it with tobacco in a joint, that's the way we smoked it in Turkey. This is the traditional way to smoke it.
 
I actually enjoy eating hash more then anything. But if I am going to smoke it I either sprinkle it on weed, roll it in a joint (just recently I finally had enough hash to try this for the first time) or drop a small piece of hash on a red hot lighter,like the one you find in your car and suck up the smoke. Kinda like a knife hit.

As for the hash in the US, all that I have tried has been good. It is very rare, I've actually only bought it twice in my city. The other times I have gotten it has been at shows. I've had everything from the blacker stuff to the lighter stuff. I've never had cut hash, that soapbar stuff sounds nasty!!!

red arrow; That's some nice pollem, where abouts are you from? Europe or the UK? That bowl ...ahhh i wish i had it now, i've got nothing and have to wait a day to get some money for some more :(
 
if it turns out to be soap then this is by far the best way to smoke it

1. Take a ciggarete and remove all the moisture from the baccy by toasting it with a lighter (you'll have to keep it constantly moving to prevent the paper lighting up).

2. Empty this baccy in to a mix card and grind to a powder (as close to flour as possible) with your fingers

3. Take about a third of an 1/8 of the soap, and wrap it in a piece of tin foil so that it has a long bit of foil protruding to use as a handle.

4. Burn the pot in the foil until there's been a steady stream of thick smoke for 15 seconds or so (don't worry about the amount of smoke this seems to waste, the final product is worth it).

5. Empty this pot in to a 2nd mix card as soon as you remove the flame, and immediately crumble as finely as possible (this bit will hurt, sometimes a little, sometimes a fuck of a lot, but you get used to it).

6. Pour the contents of both mixcards through a sieve in to a third mix card, making sure it all gets nicely mixed up.

7. Take the chunks left in the sieve, give em another quick flame in the foil, fluff em up till their nicely powdery (doesn't matter too much as there shouldn't have been too much caught in the sieve if u did a good job) and add them to the mixture


This process should leave you with a powder almost the consistency of flour which is perfect to hit in the bong (the only way soap should be smoked). Whilst this may seem like a bit of an effort, it only takes 5 minutes or so and your puff will go twice as far (as well as actually lighting properly in the dish)

DONT DO THIS WITH PROPER HASH, ONLY SOAPBAR....IT WONT WORK AND WOULD BE A WASTE OF NICE GEAR
 
can you explain "soap bar hash" i really know nothing about hash the town where i grew up barley had a good marijuana supply.
 
man, hash is really easy to smoke, i smoke it just like weed, in my bowl. just make sure you have a good-sized 'hash-pebble' in there, one that won't slip thru the hole. i've never gotten a hippy shit from smoking hash man... its real easy. just like smoking a resin rock. you just have to hold the lighter over it for a bit longer, but once it gets bubblin', it'll hit like a champ.

Id have to disagree. Some of the best hash has the most unique but wonderful smell range! Hash smelling like weed would, in my opinion, indicate that not all the plant matter was removed from the hashmaking process and thus still smells more like the plant.

Anyways, hash is allaround good.

this is the only type of hash thats widely available in england. its hard as a rock, less/similar potenct to bush weed and full of crap. not ebtirely sure how thay make it but i do know that the average block is only 20% cannabis. this is what makes it so nasty, if its only 20% cannabis then whats the other 80% your smoking????
