I've been into the electronic music scene for about four years now. I started by attending parties. Then I got mixed up in djing. Then I started producing tracks. I've really gotten into HHC the last year or so. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea why Happy Hardcore isn't taking off in the state's like it is in Australia and The UK.

Dude, dont know where u got your sources from, but Happy Hardkore is NOT popular, especially in the Melbourne Australian Rave scene.
Hard House / NRG is still the shit, but Hard Trance/Bangin Tekkers are huge in Melbourne at the moment.
Fuk Happy Hardkore!!!

"2 words... it sucks"
"Sounds like a chipmunk singing disco on meth"
"Fuk Happy Hardkore!!!"
Oh man, here it comes again...

Come out to Reno.
There's at least 3-4 HHC Dj's that spin out, and a whole ton that haven't... yet.
There's DJ Spam, that one kid who always wears the visor, and Greg (the little brother of a guy I knew in high school who refuses to put his name on his mix CD)... there's another guy who spins plain ol' hardcore, but I can't think of what he's called, either.
It's sick, and wrong. Well, only one of 'em does primarial vocal-based stuff, so it could be much, much worse.

Hello, my name is Miles. I started off on Happy2BeHardcore. It was gateway! The next thing you know I was carrying around glowsticks and vicks. It was a sad period in my life. But thankfully, I'm recovering.

HA! It's because the junglists killed all of the happybitchCore heads.... May that shit NEVER invade my eardrums ever again...

lol taking off in the states?
ud be surprised
i know all kinds of average american kids who are recently discovering electronic music. they all think HHC is some new and unique kind of music that all 'ravers' listen to. I try to tell them they are about 10 years to late, but the flood of electronic newbies keeps rising and rising
smalltown rednecks and college frat boys alike are all listening to hhc shit and thinking its some new underground secret no one knows about.
its sick
i just hope psytrance never falls to the same fate. I cant imagine the average american kid taking home a shpongle cd or some other and throwing it in a pile next to matchbox twenty, nelly, and godsmack. rofl. next thing u know, DJ Liquid will be on MTV.

lol.........i expected animosity on this post........but hell not quite this much.........this all remind's me of back when i used to be an indie rocker and we used to get in fight's with the punk kid's,hahahaha

i thought there was a decent scene for it over there. you have RAVE N BEATS and MADNESS AND MAYHEM labels boh just started up? and SSU & HAVIN IT are still going????
the melbourne scene is pretty much non-existant but the sydney scene is now fairly large and brisbane and canberra are growing.

i dunno where you guys are ut there is [lenty of hardcore in the states... but to everyone who cant stop hatin... let tha haters hate...

/me throws a party so kande and pkat can spin, and invites all the little hardkore woodland creatures to dance :)

hardcore is good, happy hardcore is different though. Yeah the roots are in the same place but hhc just has a way of turning people away from it.
Dont get me wrong. I love upbeat music around 155 and higher. Hell, I even spin UK HH/Nu NRG. Its just hhc can make you want to leave a dance floor. No hating on those that spin it but its just not my thing.

I don't feel HHC and I don't understand it either. What can you possibly do to the beat of HHC that wouldn't cause heart failure within the next 5 minutes? Kick the shit out of something? Sprint until your legs fall off? Does anybody feel love when listening to hhc and if so please explain it to me. All I hear is noise.
