has anyone grown peyote indoors,if so, what type of lighting system did you use ? indirect sunlight, direct sunlight, did you need supplemental lighting ?

Mines just sitting in my living room. Gets some direct light first thing in the morning, then indirect from about lunchtime.

No special lighting or anything.

hmmm, this is a very interesting idea. Of course peyote dosn't grow where I live. I wonder how I can get my hands on some?

cacti definitely shouldn't be grown like an intensive herb/veggie crop indoors (water/ferts/lighting). in most temperate zones (non-equatorial desert) the inside of your house will noticeably change temperature with the seasons. during the cool dark winter months, cacti basically go dormant and require very little light water or nutrients to live. then during the summer, direct and indirect light from a south-facing window (or north-facing, if you're down under) is plenty for the slow-growers. perhaps you could carry it outside for the summer months, but that would become more difficult as it grows in size.

just grow it outdoors during the spring/summer and put it into dormancy over the winter

its really easy

not really, it takes forever, if you don't have patience, it's not for you

peyote isn't for the lazy or inpatient.
