That is correct, I forgot about that until you posted it. "Candida" the little guys are called.

Sounds like you may have oral thrush if it hurts at all. If it does, don't wait to see your doctor. They will probably prescribe you a general antibiotic as well as some lidocaine wash to help numb the sore spots.
