NEMD Grateful Dead Appreciation Thread

After a couple of years exploring this band I finally got round to listening to Terrapin Station (the song) and practically weeped through the entire thing. Oh my...

There's a funny gif out there from FTW of Bobby motioning to him to clean his nose and Mickey spazzes out cleaning his nose with his Mickey Mouse gloves. I'd look for it but I'm on my phone. It's hysterical

Haha, I saw that. I have a feeling Weir was screwing with Mickey Hart. Never trust a prankster!

Sheeesh, been thinking how many shows Weir has done in his life. He is a mad man. Touring at that age.

Definitely cash grabby. Not angry enough. Grateful dead light. But if you ain't got nothin better to do, why not. Wouldn't travel for, though

Help>Slip was definitely the highlight for me. Thought franklins was a little cheesy. Did anyone catch Mickey licking the beam during drums? He literally licked it. I think he still really likes drugs. There's a funny gif out there from FTW of Bobby motioning to him to clean his nose and Mickey spazzes out cleaning his nose with his Mickey Mouse gloves. Good stuff tonight, though. Mayer does a great job and Oteil is a fucking animal. But I think I'm okay with Chicago being my last run. Regardless, I'm glad they're playing
This is the image with Bob telling Mickey to check his nose. I wonder how much coke they all used back stage?

who might be wanting cold winter music?

Grateful Dead - Dire Wolf - 12/30/77 - Winterland

I was just thinking of this killer tune. I looked at the original comment and noticed GGB had made this comment about the same time of year last year (February 28). Perhaps they were in the same mood. I guess 'tis the season...

The only Dead album I like is Deadicated - but I worship several songs from that....

Jane's Addiction Ripple

Uncle John's Band by Indigo Girls
Burning Spear's Estimated Prophet
The Cowboy Junkies doing Lay Me Down....love it all.

Dead and Company performed on The Tonight Show,

pedestrian "shakedown" at best, shit I dislike Mayer

I may go to the NY & Boston shows just for the heck of it but I dunno anymore am more interested in seeing some DSO shows in a few months

that should be a lot of fun

the NY Dead & Co show will be a Citi Field which might actually accommodate something of a lot scene but the NYPD is the NYPD
