Lately i too alot of drink and diazepam, legal highs, shitloads of weed and speed. These days if i've nothing i get irritable and can't relax. If i cut back willit help? ii don't think i could stop everything at once.

It seems like you're suffering from anxiety. There are so many ways this can be treated with anti-depressants, properly administrated anxiolytics, and therapy.

My advice for you is to look for a psychiatrist, tell him how you feel. He will help you to get rid of the medicines. It's better dealing with it in the beginning than deal with a possibly addiction later.

i know ur problem, i had it. i maxed out on all drugs. in the last 3 days i took a 4 bag iv shot of nyc h, 400mgs of oxycontin today, 2 mgs of xanax tonight, 40mgs of adderall yesteral, 4ml GBL yesterday in 1 dose and methoxetamine iv 1 gram 2 and 3 days ago. I have felt stone cold sober. I have taken no suboxone in about 5 days to a week.

I didnt think drug immunity was possible. Im not saying follow me, but that i understand the feeling to always be on something and it can go away once those things stop working or something else changes. life can be crazy and good and bad all at once. best of luck

Cutting back can reduce whatever side-effects are being caused by the substances, and make it easier to work on the underlying anxiety or whatever feelings you have that are causing you to want to stay high. So just don't feel disappointed if you don't feel better right away, the feelings may increase in intensity at first until you become more comfortable with them.

I'm not sure what your level of alcohol/benzo consumption is but if you need it daily to avoid withdrawal I would not just cut it out without tapering over time.

yes i was the same way. But i went to rehab and after 4 months i was able to get out of my shell. Drugs just push the problems away for later when you dont have the drugs. Trust it will get better. Start slow and talk with people and you will learn to relax and enjoy life without drugs, its really worth it.

I really don't understand why people immediately jump to the OP having underlying anxiety problems. for fuckssake, doing that kinda of chemical buffet for any kind of time will give anyone anxiety when they run out of drugs.

get straight first, and then go see a psych if your symptoms don't improve. getting loaded up on tranqs and anti-anxiolytics off the bat isn't any way to treat addiction.

You are right; not everyone has underlying anxiety problems. :)

I still think that anti-anxiolytic drugs have helped me out considerably. The sad truth to this is that doctors don't want to give people a conservative number of pills per month. They go for zero, or a lot. And they have some delusion about lorazepam or clonazepam being "not addictive" or not as bad as other benzos. They are all equally addictive. It is more how frequently you use them than which one you use.

I can go months without taking a benzodiazepine, this is when I feel the best, when I haven't ever considered taking it in quite some time.

The worst is when I consider taking it once a week and normally won't because it won't be on me at the time or wouldn't kick in quick enough.
