This is the sad truth, the majority of USA cops are "bored on the job" & cant find teh bigger fish i suppose so they hit as many people as they can doing anything to "fund raise" aka generate $$."

Even if you don't agree that the harsh sentencing was to do with his race, you can bet his race had a fair bit to do with him finding himself in that situation in the first place.

Am I to understand that the psychotics that run America give you a higher sentence for selling NEAR A CHURCH?? What kind of a sick joke is that? A school I can understand, but a place of worship?? Who gives a shit? And does this apply to churches, mosques, etc (all religions and denominations) equally?

The law actually does apply to schools, churches, parks, and maybe a few other public places like that. I think the whole law is a bit ridiculous although I can definitely understand the train of thought that lead to its legislation...

are you fucking kidding me!?! i had a coke dealer once, on his second offense he was busted with 90 grams (first offense = a little less than two ounces). he was a poor mexican. got off on probation. the bail here is absurd, 5-25 years in jail is absurd, these silly little "next to a church, next to a school" additions to the law are also absurd. how close to a church was he? a school? that's what i wanna know. i can't even begin to imagine what would've happened to my dealer friends at green valley christian school...
