glowsticks

How do you hold glowsticks in your hands or what is the proper way to hold it when giving a light show? I have some from partycity and how long will they last and will they get dimmer over time?
 
The proper way to hold glowsticks is to swing them on the end of a string, allowing the screams of kandy kids getting smacked in the head to accent the performance.

More seriously, I'm not sure there's a right or wrong to it. :-)

Glowsticks will slowly fade away once activated. It's not unusual for them to still be faintly glowing the next day/night. If I had to guess, I'd say most drop to about half their initial light output in around six hours or so. It varies; thicker glowsticks tend to glow longer (as contrasted with those thin bracelets/necklaces) and some manufacturers make brighter/longer lasting items than others. Try SureGlow if you're shopping in bulk.
 
If you're giving a light show I would hold them at the end that you use to connect them to string. Should go fat to skinny..
 
Hold them horizontally, middle and ring fingers on bottom, index and pinky on top. Thumb tucked in like when you make a fist. Move accordingly.

And they last all night, depending on quality. Last ones I had glowed long into the morning.
 
it lasts longer in low temperature room.you can put it in the mircowave to heat it up for few seconds to make it bright again when it is not as bright.if you are a beginner .make sure you practice it really slow until it looks perfect. i don't know how to show you how to do it.you can check it out at glowsticking.com.
 
i always buy two sets when i go to parties. they are only a buck a piece. i open a pair at 11 then at 3. I also have raven party lights. These are sic!!!! batery operated.
 
I've got a friend who got those battery operated LEDs at WallyWorld and they weren't expensive. He brought them to a hotel party I had and they were a blast! I always go in the fishing section of WalMart and a pack of 2 glowsticks (the regular kind) is less than 2 bucks.
 
i find it take yrs of practice to be good enough to be giving a light show at the club or rave.i don't really care about the light show anymore because the roll doesn't effect me like it used to be.

Have to agree, but i think it doesnt matter how you do it. Glow sticks are a must while rolling. :)

Dude, I like to switch them as the music changes. Like at first I'll have them in between my fingers then I'll switch them and hold them like I'm holding 2 sticks in my hand. It's up to you on how you hold them. There is no right way to hold glowsticks, everyone has their own style. Just rave with them and have fun.
 
I buy the ones they sell at Meijers that have bateries already in them and there only like 4 bucks and thet last for many many party's. They are befinitly the ones you want.
 
hold them so you can see them, and play with them, and make sure they have the little plastic hole thingie on the end, bc it is a must for chewing pleasure. that's bout it.
