Giving Blood

A few recent months ago, I used to smoke daily... I gave blood once every 2 or so months. Every time they called me up for an appointment, I stopped smoking for 3-10 days before they sucked me ;)
They never complained, I always answered their questionnaires truthfully and read the guidelines for giving blood. If they mentioned cannabis, or if they were testing my blood for drugs and reporting it, I might be a little worried.
Try to live healthy, and keep your blood as pure as possible for the few days preceding donation if you'll be giving whole blood.
 
I recently went to the doctor due to some sleep and stomach problems I was having and they took 3 test tubes of blood out of me to perform a blood screen to make sure everything on the inside was ok.

In the 4 days prior to this I'd taken LSD, Ecstasy and smoked alot of weed (smoked several hours before going to the doctor infact). And when the results came back the doctor said my blood was, to use his words 'pristine'.

So this leads me to believe that the blood itself is fine regardless of what drugs you've consumed. I could be wrong.
 
My friend recently donated blood (smoked weed the night before) and when he donated he was not asked at all about smoking marijuana, only whether he used IV drugs. So I guess its settled, smoking weed doesnt matter if your going to donate (this is in Australia by the way).
