Okay. I made my GHB, but this time, when the liquid cooled, it turned into this white paste, almost like toothpaste gel.
Is this because of a) not enough distilled water as a solvent in the reaction process, b) too much unreacted lactone (GBL) relative to NaOH, or c) both?
p.s. - the paste has some GBL odor left in it. it gave me a little heahache, btw...
