Opioids Getting very easily irritated and angry when on opiates?

I popped some OC this morning and I had a nice little nod session while listening to music on my bed, but after the initial good effects wore off (parachuted oldschool OC, the intense high is gone within an hour and a half i'd say, and then you got an after high) I became really really angry for some reason. I heard people in my house hold talking rooms over and just hearing their voice was killing my buzz and making me really fucking irritated, and then someone came into my room to ask about something and i just straight cussed them out and told them to fuck off i'm "not feeling well"
I'm so easily annoyed and angered by the smallest shit right now, I feel like I'm tryna lay as still as possible and just get back into that cozy high but any noise or anything just straight pisses me the fuck off to the point i actually had to punch some shit cause i was so angry. This isn't really normal for my personality, does this happen to anyone else on opiates?

This happened to me the first time i ever took morphine orally. I was enjoying a very pleasnt nap & woke up to watch the news & was feeling really opiated, very pleasnt actually. Then i got a call from my friend on my homephone & he was all like 'alright mate i'm just down the road from your house, come out for a drink maaaan it's friday':X I couldnt have cared less that it was friday, just cos irs friday people find the need to go out & blow money at a pub even if there's nothing going on like a gig or something...

I couldnt say i was anywhere i wasnt cos the bastard just caught me on my homeline, & i'd kinda thought nothing about going out socialising that night & was pretty happy to just chill by mysefl after a long week.

When i did come out he sort of noticed i wasnt all that peppy (he really annoys me nowadays, a real overbearing egotist) & i found his enthusiasm very very irritating & he proceded to tell me all about some bullshit he was going thru with his ex

Yeah man i hear you! Soemtimes i'm like the most social & coolest cat when i've had opiates like codeine, dihydocodeine or methadone but on morphine or heroin or sometimes opium, you just wanna bliss out by yourself & you get into this unique kind of headspace & any interruption from other people like sober phone calls from family members or drunken friends, yeah u jst wanna smash their lights out! Ah, lol. It happens to the best of us dude.

I have a bit of a problem raging at things anyway. But sometimes (not everytime) I get very iritable on opiates. Little stuff like stuf fflaling over, or my mp3 player running out of music really piss me off, I tyr really ahrd tog et voer it quickly so it dosent put a damper on my experience.
 
This happens to me quite often, usually when coming down. I feel very irritable, angry and extremely rude to anyone/anybody. I can say some hurtful things when in that state.
It happens with all opioids.
 
I have been pretty irritable while coming down from oxycodone compared to other opiates. Maybe it has something to do with the stimulating effects of it or something. Others seem to say it happens with all opiates, but IME oxycodone is the worst with this. The feeling is very similar to how I am when I am withdrawing and waiting for the call back from my dealer.

Morphine lasts really long with me and I usually go asleep with a buzz still, so I don't experience much of a comedown.

Oxymorphone is too sedating for me to be irritable on it.

Heroin in larger doses ends with me nodding and/or going to be high, and in lower doses it may wear off before then but I don't experience a comedown from it.

Hydrocodone never seemed to give me much of a problem when it was wearing off, and althought I just tried hydromorphone by itself for the first time a few days ago, I didn't get a bad comedown from it.
 
i was on high doses of oxycodone when i was on pain management.. i was really irritable. i've been off them for about a year and a half. things are a lot different now. i don't get upset as easy and i don't focus on the negative things..

^ This is all spot on. I'm on oxycodone for pain management and I wouldn't want to be anywhere around me when I'm coming down off a high dose, I pretty much just keep taking more and more oxy to put off the comedown. Oxycodone's the only opiate where I've noticed genuine rage during the comedown, other opiates comedown may feel more sad than angry.
 
i get angry as fuck on oxycodone for some reason. if you disturb my high or even try to talk to me i flip. i feel the most angry during the peak for some reason, and i yell at people. its weird but funny sometimes

ha this is crazy that you mention that exact example. whenever i'm coming down off an opiate high, just hearing people talking in another room pisses me off as well. it's really stupid, but it happens to me all the time.
 
any type of opiate gets me like this. not every time, but a majority. i dunno i dont really mind it, unless im such a dick its completely out of line. but yeah. i dont like being called out of my environment to go pub crawling either. It doesnt matter if all im doing is playing xbox, thats just how it is. your right where u want to be, why go somewhere you dont want to be lol. and yeah it does make me kind of a dick on occasion, or have no patience really. however on the upside, if i get in a situation where i need to prove my point, or defend myself, i seem to be able to do it better in this state. im also able to make more important decisions in this mode as well. so its not just you man, happens to the best of us, lol
 
Its interesting to see how many others have experienced this. Its also usually my poor mother that sets me off in a tirade, over the smallest most irrelevant things.
 
well if you can master controlling it whole on opiates, not only will you have more self control in general, you may develop better overall patience. i try to use drugs to make myself stronger. if theres something i have an issue with, i try to get in a state of mind where it dissolves and try to reverse engineer. figure out the hangups and overcome them. good luck man : )
 
We Call it OXY RAGE around here. We get a million little kids eating perks around here then they walk around trying to start fights. I think this is actually really common as you've read from everyone else on here haha. I'll be walking home from getting cigarettes, have a group a kids ask me for a cigarette i give them one then they say What pussy? you want a a problem!? It's actually kinda funny in situations like that because it's angry little douchbags. For you though and others who arnt just assholes it does suck and i understand but it's definitely from the oxy. It has a habit of doing that im not exactly sure why. When i used to take it, id notice sometimes i'd get into screaming matches with my girlfriend for no reason just seemed to make me really irritible for no reason especially towards the end of the high.

Be safe do something to change your setting or mood like a shower then go for a walk or something, might help?

I think part of the downside of snorting a line of oxy or H is that once youve snorted it you realise that it isnt going to be there anymore. Sometimes the anticipation is just as good as the high itself
