It's not true that you can't exercise. I felt like shit around 3-4 days off of subs and thought there was no way I could exercise, but the doctor at the rehab I was at encouraged me to do it, so I did. It was the best thing I could have done for myself. I'm also pretty sure I've never heard of people having seizures while coming off of opiates. Maybe if you had a benzo addiction to go along with your suboxone habit, but not if you were just taking subs. As far as pulling muscles, don't overdo it, especially when you're just starting. But in the same vein: don't use that as an excuse to be a pussy and not exercise as hard as you could.
Anyway, you're not gonna get huge from lifting overnight, especially if you were inactive/not eating very much while you were on subs. Your diet also has a lot more to do with how you look than your exercise routine. You can lift heavy weights and stay lean as long as you eat clean and don't force food down your throat. If you start eating 4000+ calories a day, you're gonna gain weight, but if you stay around 2000-3000 calories and eat heavy on the protein and light on the carbs & fat, you can be just as lean as anyone who runs long distance.
