German dealers 'add lead to marijuana'

Is the UK still getting weed laced with silica glass?

Seems to have been replaced with saltwater now.

Eeek that's dark :| I reckon there's some evil intent at work also... or just extreme stupidity.

p.s. Why is "eeek" a spelling mistake but "eek" isn't? :D

I'm kinda skeptical that this happens: a) dealers don't generally try to hurt customers, it goes against good business sense b) lead isn't cheap as far as cuts go c) there are better things to bulk with (loose plant matter, water, maybe dirt or sand). Even if you discount a), you still have to wonder why they would use lead of all things.

^^^^ What you say has a definite logic. Could be a LE/media ploy...

There is a possibility they were growing in a metal shop.

Erm...not up to date with UK's regional slang.(Niether is urbandictionary.com) Can you define "saltwater"

^i dont think its slang, i think its actual salt water....as in h20 + NaCl. Water is real dense so its a common way for unscrupulous dealers to add weight to their product. Plus i would imagine when it dries up it leaves salt crystals on the buds, probably making them look like they are covered in trichromes.

i hope this shit doesnt start happening here in the states. Marquee brought up a good point about there being better things to use to add weight. I have heard about ppl mixing in some of those legal buds into bags of beasters. It was hard to tell the difference too because the beasters were nasty and stringy and looked pretty similar to the legal buds.

lead, silica glass, salt water....of all drugs you can cut for more profit, its crazy that ppl do it to weed.

^^^^ Or lead illegal, chic-baby...

I mean, lead:

1. Has no recognized medical value (I know, I know, but shut up), and
2. Is now being abused by the youth

The simple criteria that the dummies at the DEA define for dangerous drug. So let's put lead in Schedule I. We need more laws anyway to keep people confused...
