Yeah, that's never a good feeling when someone's mom comes on here and says, "My son Tomatilli was found at a local farm, in the sheep's pen with his pants around his ankles...They found a needle and heroin on him..."
That's a stupid joke, but that's happened here a handful of times, where people have BL pulled up on the screen....Nobody ever thinks it's gonna be them...I never think it will happen to me, and I've had 7 people that I actually hung out with on a regular basis die from situations that involved shooting heroin...As far as acquaintances and people I knew in passing, I can't even count...When you're involved with heroin, at least one person you know will turn up dead every year....hopefully it's not you!

We've had tons of BL'ers die that we actually got confirmation about. Whether a parent comes on and says it, a close friend, another BL'er they knew, etc. Most of the time though, people just post and then all the sudden they stop, never to be seen from again.
I started making a list a couple years ago bored, listing how many people I knew that died from drugs in some way.. I gave up when I hit 52. Don't even wanna know where that number is at now or where it will be by the end of the year.. I do know there are a lot of people I pray don't end up on that list, but probably will anyway.

^What I find strange too, and I'm sure you guys will know what I'm talking about...
When you're out there getting high and interacting with other people living that life, there's always those people that are just so reckless about the whole thing, you just think to yourself, "I know you're gonna end up dead!", the kind of people that just don't use their brains at all and do everything put in front them, no matter what!
Now, I've been a heavy user for a long time, and I go on some crazy binges, but I know what the dangerous combos are and when to let off the gas...And I genuinely believe that's what's kept me alive, knowing better than to take that handful of pills at the end of the night, not throwing that suicidal amount of coke in the cooker, etc....And even then, there's been plenty of times where that's gone out the window and I've done those things anyway...No matter how much HR stuff you know, your judgement can go right out the window when you're high...
The main thing that I've seen kill people and get them in serious trouble is benzos! Not only is mixing them with opiates dangerous as fuck, but your judgement goes right out the window in every way...Your judgement of whether or not you should take more(that's the big one), your judgement of whether or not it's okay to drive around with a bunch of pills, coke and dope...your judgement of whether you can just roll that $2000 compressor out the door of Lowe's without anyone noticing...lol! Those things are a dopefiends worst enemy!
But sometimes, the real morons who take the outrageous risks end up living!....a lot of them end up doing prison time...People who are reckless with using are reckless with how they get the money to get high too, usually...I've seen new users end up getting in with people like that, and I think, "Man, that kid's doomed!" A lot of people I've met who get high go cray from the second they do the first shot! They run around stealing and getting as high as possible, until they get locked up...then, they get released and repeat the process all over again! Seeing people go through that has always been a big deterrent for me, and made me think twice when I'm sitting there sick...I you hang out with morons who are always getting locked up, you're gonna be right there with them! Keeping those people as far away from me as possible has been another key in my longevity in this game! If I have a riend who starts to get like that, I won't hesistate to drop them in a second! Being hooked on heroin is hard enough to keep myself out of trouble, I'm not letting someone else's stupidity increase the odds of me getting fucked even more!
Anyway, a lot of the people who die aren't irresponsible, they use what they should be able to handle and end up being wrong! What you can handle one day, you might not be able to handle next week!
I have a friend who does 100+ bags of heroin a day...They're not NY bags, but it's still outrageous! The thing is, his habit built up slowly to that point, and he does around the same amount everyday...He doesn't mix it with benzos...He's not stupid with the way he uses...but I still worry about him...because I've seen people die from their normal amount too, or at least OD and come close...you never know! It may take a little more time to do test shots and take the precautions, but I think it's worth it!

Consider me one of the ones yelling (again) at you to NOT shoot dope. Have you ever used methadone? You can and will get *nice* on methadone and it's completely legal if you go into methadone maintenance treatment. I was on the program once and it was one of the best decisions I made at that time. For the most part, the methadone satisfied the need I had to get high. I was on the program for about 3 years and after a year or so I only had to go 1x per week to pick up.
While your plan to go to the clinic yesterday obviously did not pan out, why not go tomorrow? Dude, you are in trouble and need to ask for help.

^Yeah, I went on methadone really early in my dope career and actually straightened my shit out for a good 4 years! It was then that I actually learned how to hold a job, pay bills, pay for a car...all the life stuff that it takes to be on your own as an adult!
And even when I eventually went back to getting high, those things stuck with me! Living with your parents doing heroin, you may never learn that shit...and living on your own is a great thing!

Ya that post is spot on. A lot of ODs do have benzos involved. Even without benzos switching to shooting increases your chances of overdose and death exponentially.
Toma, I know you feel like we're ganging up on you. All the people that say that they're thinking of switching do. Every time someone says that, everyone flips their shit trying to tell them not to. It's because we know how drastic a choice this is and we know that we're likely the only people that have the opportunity to tell you not to do it and why. This scenario has happened more times than I can count in here and it mostly plays out the same. Most people don't listen and do it anyways and next the vast majority of those people either die or spiral out of control and end up in jail. This all usually happens in the matter of a few months. This is why we all get so passionate about the topic. It sounds kind of cheesy typing it but, we do give a fuck about each other. Who else can we talk to about this kind of shit.
We just don't want to see you make the same mistakes we have or end up dead. It may not be an od that kills you, we had one kid who got deep into dope real fast and he nodded out while driving crashed and died. I think his name was bhanon or something close. Believe me when I say you don't want to be 30-40 years old going back to the methadone clinic because you sold all your stuff, can't pay your bills and have to move in with your parents. There is nothing cool or awesome about that scenario. Your non using friends have gave up on you years prior and your using friends are not really friends anyway.oldhippytony

This is a common scenario. Just as common however, are cases where in addition to selling their own stuff, they rip off their parents or other family members, friends, lovers, employers, etc. With no family to turn to they end up in shelters or on the street. NOBODY wants them around. Lonely, sick, tired, with all of ones worldly possessions stuffed in a gym bag or backpack is not a fun place to be.

Truth. It's truly a shitty feeling when you have not one family member, real friend, nobody who gives a shit anymore because you've pissed all over every chance you got. No matter how shitty things seem at the moment, they always always can, and will get worse.
Please toma, listen to tony. I'm gonna add a little piece of my story too.
For a long while I used opiates to cover up feeling shitty about my life, and for a while, as a crutch to get through a major depressive episode when I was 19. During that time was the first time I ever used heroin. But it wasn't satisfying for that emptiness (well, it was, but not in a sustainable way), plus, it made me feel worse overall because I felt bad about what I was doing.
Methadone helped me get through that time. I wasn't on mmt, just self-medicating, but it could give me that drooling high that you say you like. Not that I'm encouraging that at all, I know now how often I was walking the line of ODing--just that methadone was the easiest and cheapest way to get that--and because of the long half-life it provided some dosing structure that just snorting dope didn't.
So just give MMT a chance. It'll take care of those cravings and allow you to do something with your time that might make you more satisfied. Plus, it's not forever, if you don't like it after a month you can always quit and go shoot dope, but that's such a final step...
The only thing that would really help is a tolerance break. At your rate switching to shooting will get you high for maybe a week, and then you would be stuck with a much worse habit and in the same position of needing a ton of dope to get high.
If your tolerance has gone from a few bags to over a bundle with sniffing then what do you expect to happen once you switch to IV? Will you magically be able to get high without your tolerance continuing to increase? Because with shooting it doesn't last as long as with snorting, so even if you need about half as much to get high, you will need to do it twice as often which is what really gets your tolerance up there when you start shooting.
I think that just about everybody that has switched to shooting will tell you that they ended up shooting more bags per day than the max amount they were sniffing.Last edited:

And quickly too. It's not like you get years and years of all this wonderful low tolerance dope shooting, only having to spend twenty bucks to get high.. Within a few months, you're doing twice what you where ever snorting.
The max amount that I sniffed was 6 bags. When I started shooting I was able to get to that amount, and at my worst (luckily only a 1 month phase) I was able to do 2 bundles in a day and not die. That was because no matter how late in the night I did my last shot, I would wake up sick and need a shot before noon if I were to avoid getting that sick, but usually ended up being in moderate withdrawals each day unless I had saved enough dope for the morning to get well, which was not an easy task.
But I knew that it was impossible to maintain like that so I switched it up and just shot 2 on most days just to get by, and 4-5 once or twice a week to get a real high.
But that required a tolerance break so if your plan is to be able go get high everyday right away then you will need more and more and guarantee that you will be shooting more than a bundle a day in no time. Then you will start getting sick 6 hours after your last shot, so doing 5-6 bag shots 3x a day will become the norm. Then that won't do it for you so you will start pushing it by doing 7 bag shots.
Did you use much before you were stabil on the dose your at? I break down about every 3rd day. The craving and my dose only holds 12 hours or so and the cravings drive me crazy along with getting some physical symptoms.My main dealer took $5 off and gave me an extra 2 bags today which is awesome and my other dude I got stuff fronted from let me get shit off him today without paying any of the front back and I worked him down $30 for the original price and I'm probably gonna work him down more...he really wants me business so I'm sure he'll do it lol. Do you guys think they care that they ruin peoples lives?
