If you have good living conditions, good shelter with proper heating/bedding/bathroom and you have a job that can sustain living there independently, it is a very GOOD thing that you can't find your "own shit". At best, kiss all your extra money that doesn't go towards rent/food living expenses goodbye if you find a reliable connection for heroin. At worst, say goodbye to everything that makes your life happy besides dope including freedom. There's more than one kind of prison, remember and dope is a great way to get to all of them!
Stay away from heroin. If you're bored and looking for a high, there's a lot of cheaper and safer alternatives. Smoke some bud, have a beer. If you must have an opiate because it has become "a part of who you are" then I feel for you, because I am in the same boat.
However, if you are not currently hooked on an opiate and you are looking around in your new town for some dope to cure your boredom/depression, might I suggest that you give kratom a try since it provides a nice opiate feeling which I consider to be superior to hydrocodone, and sometimes oxycodone. Your risks are lower for developing addiction and getting strung out on kratom isn't as horrible as getting strung out on dope. Another plus with kratom is you're not breaking the law by obtaining and possessing it.
But repeated daily use of kratom will lead to dependence and then likely harder opiates because tolerance will get to a point where you can't scarf down ounces of plant material to fix your "morning sickness".
Just avoid opiates man. I wish I had.
