Should I lay off the arm curls and stick with full body workouts instead to gain weight and burn fat? I believe this can get me ripped and gain weight (muscle, not fat) while getting ripped instead of making time arm curling?

I was told/read that deadlift is really the ONLY workout anyone ever need!

Heya mate. I wouldn't say forget doing curls just focus on your main lifts; deadlifts, squats, bench press, shoulder/military press. I stepped on the scales today I hadn't checked my % fat for ages maybe a year but I'm much less fat now than I was last time I did check it!
I would have to attribute that to intense workouts and focusing on the 4 main lifts. I wouldn't advise you to neglect your bench press and shoulder press.Or do deadlifts and squats too often.
I train legs Monday, chest and biceps Tuesday, rest weds, back on thurs and shoulders and triceps Friday. The point is though I push myself hardest on the main lifts, like I might do 6-7 sets of deadlifts including a couple of lighter warm ups and the last set much more heavy.

I do think deadlift is the most important lift and it's my strongest lift by far as it should be. I don't think it's advisable to deadlift every workout though or even more than twice a week if your going to recover fully between sessions though.

Not eating after dinner at night is another big thing if you want to shred some excess fat. I've been doing this and I can see the difference it's making quickly.

For starter you cant gain weight and get ripped at the same time thats an oxymoron pretty much

The reason someone would tell you to work out legs if your interested in shedding fat is because they are your biggest muscles and consume the most amount of energy so youre burning the most amount of calories working them out. But you have to work out your entire body to be proportional

Not necessarily gaining weight yes but you can stay at the same weight while loosing fat %, which I would essentially consider as gaining muscle.

if thats the way you want to look at it sure
but i always scoff at the idea of "lean bulking"

That woukd be more along the lines of recomp. It's a slow and mentally taxing process as you don't see the results quickly.

my deadlifts for the past 4 years have made my body "proportional" to a point that my body is so balanced looking that my mom think I'm "skinny", considering my weight is 150 and my height is 5'7". In high school I did nothing but bench press so I have a developed chest but entire body looked un-proportional considering I was 190 at 5'7", then.

Question; so tricep workouts make arms appear bigger? According to this article below:

Triceps make up most of your arm mass, so if you’ve been prioritizing biceps exercises, you need to switch it up. This routine can be done at the end of any upper-body workout, and it attacks the triceps on every front. You’ll start with a heavy lift to recruit the most muscle fibers, then pump up the volume to exhaust the muscles thoroughly.

Not really the best site to get your information from mate. Bodybuilding.com has good workouts for nearly every kind of training :)

For the size of your arms deadlifts, chin ups, barbell rows... I've heard that story before but to be honest I just continue to do my 4 day split and blast the triceps after shoulders, biceps after chest. They say the best thing if your trying to get bigger arms is to add another day specifically just for the arms and work out biceps triceps forearms.

Thats not correct at all.
Im a vet of many many forums for over 10 years and I can honestly say this small forum has some of the most informed people ive ever come in contact with.

There is a vast knowledge of PEDS and bbing/fitness/diet ect information here

They make your arms look bigger but its very important to work on your biceps
If you have big appearing arms and shit biceps it looks all wrong. And you will mostly look big from the back and funny from the front

To get bigger arms, I know I need heavier weights but to tone it, do I use lighter weights and more sets/reps? Say I could lift 60 pounds 10 x and 5 sets, do I drop that weight to half (30 pounds) and do 5 sets of 20 reps? I think my arms could use some sculpting rather than just "big" with no "tone".

You switch it up.
I dont know what I said it in, but i promise to god bro, i hear arnold say this and it has worked for me ever since

Someone asked him what his workout is and he said whatever i want, i dont have a routine, i go in and do whatever i want as long as im shocking he muscle

The best thing you can do to make any progress is just keep the body guessing and dont put it in a routine. I switch up all the time high weight low reps and and vice versa just to keep the body guessing, i never do the same thing. I know what body part i have to work out I just go in there and do something and get out. People really really over complicate lifting and and bbing more then it has to be. And i understand, gear nutrition the gym it can becoming addicting and when someone dumbs it down and makes it all seem basic it doesnt seem as fun and it losses its luster. But there is NO right or wrong way to do anything. Just make sure you touch the entire body so you keep your purptions, beside that just do what you want and the results will come

Thanks mike. Question about tricep workout; I use a dumbell, sitting down behind my back. I use a 50 pound weight, I do 25 reps of 5 sets. I need heavier weights. Instead of me buying another dumbbell that's 75 pounds or more for $75 ($1 per pound), is it better to buy a tricep bar like the one on the link below so I can just add up weights since I already have the weight plates? Do I use a tricep bar behind the neck as well? I work out alone at home so I have no spotter. Is a tricep bar easy to maneuver like a dumbbell when it gets too heavy?

Before i answer that, are you on gear? Cause i have something that goes against the grain but puts on size

No, I'm not on gear as we speak so what's this thing you speak of that puts on size? Food?

No obviousy food lol
But im a big fan of resistance bands, and youre already working out at home so i suggest you get them
They work insanely well if youre on gear so you combat muscle fatigue of doing them

Are these resistance bands worn or "used"? I'm not even sure what it is? How it puts on size? How is it used? Is it some type of strap? I know I can deadlift more with a strap on than without one. So is that what a resistance band does? It gives you more "push"?
