Cocaine Frequent Heart Palpitations.....

I've been experiencing heart palpitations for around 4 months. I don't do drugs alot, but I imagine if the palpitations are caused by any drug I've done it could be from a gram of coke I did around 4 months ago..... I don't really know how pure it was but it took me around half a gram to get me going.I did half a gram then went on a long walk for around an hour. Then when I came back I did another half. Immediately after this I lifted a set of 20kg dumbells doing 10 bicep curls on each arm (with relative ease;)) I dont really work out and would normally struggle with 10kg. I did drink alot of water during all of this (probably because of the long walk, not the weights lol)

I can think of other causes of the palpitations including anxiety(which I think I get a bit,not panic attacks), but these palpitations seem to get more and more random, and are sometimes rather intense. I also have a messed up ankle from an injury a few years back and because of my poor balance on that side plus general weakness on that side of my body as a result, I feel this could be effecting my breathing which somehow interferes with my heart beats, due to irregular oxygen intake perhaps. But I would love to know, if the combinations of a single gram of coke plus lifting some dum-bells could cause any significant problems. Thanks.

Palpatations have a huge variety of causes. No way it's from coke from 4 months ago. I used to get them and turns out it was caused by a benign ectopic heartbeat. Talk to your doctor about it. And don't mention the drugs, they are in no way the cause.

I lifted weights as well

That doesn't mean that is the cause. It could have aggrivated an underlying condition. It could be a coinicdence. Listen to someone who has some experience, open your mind and stop worrying about the drugs. See a doctor and get some tests. Like mine it could just be a benign irregularity.

I missed about 3 appointments last month with them. I can't imagine my GP even given me the tests tbh, they're fcuking useless never believe anything I say. I don't really think it's the coke tbh, and the palps have been getting better.

You can't expect us to diagnose you, this thread surprises me that it is still open as it is purely speculative. Just go see your physician.

amazing drug :) , i found i could actually sleep to.. shame its its pretty non existant now and whats there is poor

^ Yea if anything, it coud be meph that fucked up your heart, not a single dose of coke .

Hmm "ONLY".. while it's not a huge number, it's not exactly small either. That's more than a gram every week. Assuming you only did it on fridays that's quite some stress for the heart.

Go see a doctor I don't know the condition of your heart , no one here can help you

Yeah what the above poster said. Go to the doctor or hospital asap. Heart palpitations are common but when they become a daily occurrence, like what happened to me, it is a problem. You should stay far far away from uppers like speed and coke also. They are notorious for causing enlarged hearts and other high blood pressure conditions like hypertension. I was prescribed klonopin for this problem, among others related to anxiety, and it has done wonders for me. Maybe look into taking a benzodiazepine AS DIRECTED. Benzos are also notorious for causing rapid tolerance build up and addiction. The doctor will probably try to push anti-depressants onto you stating that it's anxiety caused by depression, don't buy this, of course unless it's the truth. Maybe look into taking a blood pressure med like lisinopril also. The smartest and only rational thing that people on here can tell you is to contact your doctor or the ER immediately.
