French Elections Called: LePen vs Macron

I predicted the Trump win, brexit and the snp failed referendum and I predict a Le Pen victory and France to leave the EU.

Well that's good. Guess when the US refused entry to the MS St. Louis in 1939, the only actual Jewish refugees were the Jewish women, children, and married men.

The single Jewish men on that ship, according to your infinite wisdom, weren't refugees.

So we shouldn't feel any guilt over the single Jewish men on that ship who later died in the holocaust. They weren't refugees, after all.

Not far right? Her party started by her father and Vichey French with strong neo nazi leanings? Nah not far right though i guess your idea of far right is different from both being an anti semetic nazi sympathizer yourself.
 
If she's a fascist and she's doing so well in election poll does that mean France is turning into a fascist country?
I'm pretty sure she will win and I think it's going to be good for the uk. If France is more secure due to tighter border control then that means the channel is more secure so less illegal immigrants can enter uk.
Also if France leaves the EU it will put uk in a better position and probably lead to other countries leaving the eu.

She wont win. The French didnt fight the nazis only to go an elect one.
 
Well why is she doing so well in the polls?
The French public are obviously voting for her for some reason surely?
If she a nazi why so many people like her?
 
Got good odds on her winning, 85 return on a tenner. The fact she made it through.. the global zeitgeist has really shifted in the past year or two, a new chapter in modern history.

The image of the policeman on fire from the protests may just push things over the edge. That and not wanting to have a corporate shill mommys boy as leader..

Then again its the French. Then again shy and silent resentment from terrorist attacks and depreciating culture+identity..

Definitely worth betting a tenner. Very tempted to bump it up to 100 depending on odds after tonights debate

She's one of those politicians who offers scapegoats, not solutions. She like to oversimplify things, giving neat answers to all problems. And, deep down, she doesn't think French culture is great - that immigrants won't adopt the French culture, but instead overwhelm the French culture.

Plus, there's the whole Euroskeptism, which weakens France. France is stronger as part of the EU, it gains a lot of economic clout. The protectionism she calls for will hurt the French economy and French workers.

Quite well in what sense? There is no runner-up prize here.

Given how extreme her views are, she's certainly doing better than expected. Still, it doesn't seem like she'll win and that's all that matters.

I think their might be a lot of pissed off French people but lets face it France is a very different country. Their is no significant religious right and the average French person would have a far greater appreciation of the world than a lot of Americans.

Only America would elect Trump
