HELLO EVERYONE

So recent back story, I was on heroin for 8 years, went to prison for 2 years - stayed off H in the joint and stayed clean for an extra year afterwards (3 years total). Life is good for me now and everything is great! I have a great job, starting a second one soon, I am dating an AMAZING girl (who knows about my past and commends me for doing so well) I got my own place about to buy a car...basically life is going pretty well for me....

...well one week ago today I ran across an old friend and broke week and used H (GF is oblivoius. Now I wasn't completely sober, I was smoking weed and dropping hallucinogens but stayed away from H. Now I've been using for a bout a week... almost daily, usually about .35 grams every 24 hours (usually split up into .175 grams every time i dosed seperated by 8 hours) for the past week. Now I had the week off from work due to spraining my ankle and I got to work this weekend, I know I'm going to feel "squirrelly and antsy and sweaty" probably but does anyone else have any insight to if I will go through full blown W/Ds or will it be super mild? Cause I can get benzos (valium) and vicodin to ease whatever may come while I have to work...

Anyone help please... thank you in advanced and I really hope I didn't violate any rules..

Hey 2mch.. and welcome to Bluelight:)

Congratulations on turning your life around!!

I dont think you will experience much if any withdrawals. Three years is a long time and there should have been some pretty nice healing that took place, so I think the physical withdrawals should be mild or nonexistent.

You will likely experience a surge in the addiction push though. So you may be more emotional and have stronger and more frequent cravings for a bit. Probably goes with out saying that you can not remain in contact with this old friend or any other active users of the opiates.

The out of the blue triggers with immediate access are so hard. So I would pull the rip cord right now as you know where you will end up and it wont take but a sliver of time and you will likely be back to where you so admirably clawed your way out of.

I think once a brain is primed from heavy use and previous addiction, even if it is nicely healed, it can slip very rapidly.. much, much, faster than the initial run from years ago.. so a persons tolerance will often skyrocket when they return to use.

Use of the benzo just at night would likely benefit any symptoms you experience.. or even a short three or four day run on them, dont want to trade on for the other here though.. I really do think that you will have a pretty easy time of this.

How were you feeling after eight hours.. right before you dosed?

You got this.. I think at most a little depression, some minor aches, some shitty sleep, a few sniffles and watery eyes maybe for three.. but really I think you might just feal like you have a cold for a day or two.

So yeah just a little hickup.. I dont know your situation or your lady but you may just think about telling her what happened, especially if she has developed a decent idea what addiction is.. but then again this will just be a little bump if you figure out a way to combat any addictive push you may get.

I hope you just glide right out of this and please keep us informed. :)

at about 8 hours i feel abnormally clammy and anxious, and my stomach cramps. IDK if it's all in my head or minor w/d I've been a firm believer in the 3 day rule that if you have EVER been addicted to opiates before then use them 3 days in a row you'll feel sick, even if its minor. But I'm hoping not because I feel like if I believe that then my brain will make it real? I have been researching kratom and buying a little bit JUST IN CASE while I'm at work I can be ok if the worse case scenario arises.

Loperamide may also be a good option in your case.

I will just throw these links down in case you haven't seen them.

The medications I would explore the use of for detox would be:
>Clonidine< DOSED EVER FOUR HOURS..
one of either
>NEURONTIN< >HERE< >HERE<
OR >Lyrica<
OR >phenibut<
>A BENZO BUT JUST AT NIGHT<
>a nsaid<
>melatonin<
tylenol
(Opi Withdrawal) what is the best comfort meds for opiate w/d?
Your Personal Opiate Withdrawal Arsenal

I dont think you will need an arsenal.

I would think about a short three or four day run on one of the GABA's as i feel this will likely solve most if mot all your symptoms in one medication.
The benzo will likely do a very good job as well.
Loperamide may be a better option than the kratom as it does amazing things for withdrawal but provides pretty much no high so its easy to tapper down for a lot of people.
Kratom is a good choice as well.

I appreciate all the information! I have one thing of kratom 15 grams in 30 capsules and 4 grams of 20x extract. This is the route I am going to take to tape myself down, I live a pretty busy lifestyle so I think I can stick to a pretty decent taper (especially after a low dose/short relapse) if you have any insight into kratom dosages or links, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm combing through the advanced search feature but as you know that could take DAYSSS and if you had any on hand (what you being a mod=wizard) it'd help a lot.

Thanks a bunch!!!
