* I never liked Kate Bosworth until i saw her in Wonderland and Blue Crush . She is so pretty and incandescent.

* I didnt give Nicolette Sheridan and Marcia Cross a 2nd look until I saw Desperate Housewives (i want to be Bree!!!!!) Now I absolutely ADORE both of them.

* I totally fell head over heels in love with Mickey Rourke in 91/2 weeks....prior to the botched face jobs...and I fell in love with him all over again in Spun. (in a slightly less sexual way...lol)

* I thought Rachel Mc Adams was your usual teen slut actress until I saw her in The Notebook. I totally love her now.

*I hated Lindsay Lohan with a passion until I saw her in the remake of the Parent Trap. I have to admit, that bitch is very very endearing to me now!!! Ive since then seen Mean Girls and Freaky Friday. I dont hate her anymore.

* I absolutely fell in love with Edward Norton in American History X.....prior to that I only noticed him when I watched Primal Fear where he played the retard /murderer.

* I always thought Lisa Kudrow was a real dumb actress until I saw her portray Sharon Holmes, the wife of John Holmes, in Alex Cox's Wonderland.

I hated Brad Pitt and thought he was just another pretty-boy actor in the vein of Tom Cruise. Then I saw Se7en, Twelve Monkeys, and Fight Club. I thought he was awesome ever since.

That's about all I can think of right now...

I fucking HATED Lucy Liu (sp) until I saw her as O'Ren in Kill Bill. She played the part so well....so badass.

I couldn't abide Christian Bale until I saw Batman Begins.

I then went back over his previous work, & now he's one of my favourite actors.

i hated leonardo dicaprio when "titanic" came out, but then i watched "basketball diaries" and "whats eating gilbert grape" and "catch me if you can", and i realized that he is actually pretty good.

good call on ed norton too

I love just about everyone you guys named. Marky Mark is one of my favorite actors, he was great in Four Brothers, I always knew Brad Pitt was sweet...anyone here ever see one of his early films called "KALIFORNIA"? It co-stars David Duchovney and Juliette Lewis, Brad Pitt is such a dirty redneck in that movie!!!!

I use to despise Adrian Brody, until I saw The Jacket, now I try to find every movie he's been in.
On an opposite note I use to think Joquan (sp?) Phoenix was one of the best actors out there when I was To Die For. Then he was in that shitty bore of a movie with Mel Gibson, and also the Village. I hate him now.

until Identity
I understand your point on Amanda Peet, but I liked that movie.
John Cusack (sp?) has always been one of my favorite actors. I never hated him though.

I never liked Leonardo either until I saw "Catch Me If You Can".

Mark Whalberg. Saw Boogie Nights..... as impressed (and no, not just by the size of his prosthetic) Then I saw Rock Star and that cemented my love for the former Marky Mark <3

No Mark but Donnie. Saw Band of Brothers and the rest is history.

I always thought Mickey Rourke was lame until Sin City and Spun. Now I think he is awesome, kind of the human equivalent of Bender.

Similarly, I never thought much of Lisa Kudrow until The Opposite of Sex. Now I have respect for her as an actor.

Finally, I used to really hate Brittany Murphy until Spun, in which she was way excellent.

^^^^word on Brittany murphy.
If you found mickey rourke lame before those movies you mentioned, try renting Angel Heart and Barfly where he portrays the poet Bukowski. Aside from the stunning acting, also looked freakin FABULOUS in these movies, waay before he succumbed to several botched face jobs. It's nice seeing him at his best physically........F*ckin' stellar ....i love him so much. =D

Nicole Kidman ... hated with a passion! thought she was a horrible actress! figured she only got movie roles because of who she was married to during the 90's ... and im sure thats why she got most of em!
hated her even more because she was married to the turd known as tom cruise! but after her breakup with him ... and once i seen The Hours, The Others, and Moulin Rouge (yes that movie did kinda suck quite bad, but she was great in it) i had respect for her.
i still like her today, but now shes a movie whore! she does like 5 movies every year. some are good some are horrible. she needs to limit it down to maybe 1-2 movies a year. limit out the lame scripted movies (bewitched, The Stepford Wives) and concentrate on making the films great she does star in.

despite my differences with how he whores himself out to the media and his religious philosphy, Tom Cruise's acting in Magnolia showed what a fantastic screen presence he has.

I never really paid much attention to kirsten dunst and found her annoying in that Vampire movie where she played Claudia ; until I saw her again in Virgin Suicides and just blew me away. I saw her in Bring it On after that and was able to appreciate the nuances she brings to her different characters .

I never really liked Jack Nicholson, and I saw a LOT of his movies , until I saw One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest on DVD . Thats how I remember him at his best ; all his movies lately have been a bit doh with the usual sneer and singsong drawl that just annoys the hell outta me =D

I never reallly paid attention to Tony Leung until I saw him portray the Chinese lover in L'Amant (The Lover) .
